Aimed at international students who have an A2 level of Spanish and who are interested in reaching the advanced (B2 MECR) or higher (C1 MECR) level of the language at the end of the academic year to be able to opt for degree or master's studies in Spain .
The CIE program has been jointly organized with HANGZHOU CERVANTES EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY, a partner agency of UPF Languages in China, which offers complementary services to this program, such as accommodation, cultural outings, etc.
Curriculum :
The CIE program consists of the following modules: a course in grammar, written expression and comprehension + a course in oral skills.
The orientation of the grammar, expression and written comprehension course is communicative , both in its objectives and in the methodology it follows. This means that the objectives and contents for each level are set in terms of the ability to use the language . In addition, the work methodology is based on carrying out use activities and reflection processes on the language that facilitate the internalization and mastery of its structures and units.
Regarding the oral skills course, it aims to improve the students' communicative competence and expand their lexical knowledge and discursive strategies so that they can interact successfully in everyday Spanish life (basic, elementary and intermediate levels), develop more oral fluency and achieve more expressiveness and accuracy in a variety of communicative contexts , especially the academic one, which will allow them to achieve an ability of oral expression and comprehension increasingly similar to that of native speakers (advanced level and higher).
On the other hand, specifically and optionally, 40-hour modules on cultural aspects are also offered , which are the ideal complement for students who are interested and have a B1 MECR level of Spanish. Among this specific offer are the following courses: Academic writing in Spanish, Business Spanish, Spanish through cinema and Culture and society in current Spain .
