Surrounding Area

  • Campus Malaca is located in an up-market residential area, Cerrado de Calderon, some 15 minute’s bus ride from Malaga’s historic centre and 10 minutes’ walk down to the fantastic Pedregalejo beach area. This is an ideal location, with easy access to our host families, shared student apartments and bus routes. Both the International Airport and the mainline train station with the AVE, high speed train, to Madrid, are just 15 minutes away by taxi. Just 50 metres below the Campus is a commercial area with banks, shops, chemists, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. There are some great views towards the sea and the mountains. Andalucian’s modern motorway network makes it easy to visit the other great Andalucian cities (Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Ronda) on our excursions at the weekend and also to cross over into Africa and visit Morocco for a weekend.

Facilities

  • Malaca Instituto offers outstanding facilities for Spanish language students, located on its own mini-campus in a quiet residential area of Malaga, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Not only does the school offer 25 fully-equipped classrooms (all with audio/visual equipment), but there is also a multimedia centre and video lab, a dance studio, a general activities room, a practice kitchen, three sun terraces, a swimming pool, an on-site restaurant/bar and the school’s very own on-site residence. Its excellent facilities make Malaca Instituto undeniably one of the very best-equipped Spanish language schools in Spain.

Activity

  • Our activities department creates and coordinates different activities programmes: A General programme, which is available to all students as well as specially designed programmes which are created for our “Cooking” or “50+” Lifestyle course and “Young adults” courses. These specially designed programmes include daily cultural activities such as; the Picasso tour, tapas tours, concerts, museum visits, cookery lessons etc... and, a full-day excursion on the weekend. Most activities - except for the excursions - take place in our vibrant city of Malaga. Malaga, a city with more than 30 museums, is now betting heavily on the draw of cultural tourism, and a beachside city in perfect harmony with it’s ancient, contemporary and urban culture.
