    A family enterprise, owned and managed by a dedicated family!

    -Gateway School of English (Licence no. 241/MB 08), fully licensed by the Ministry of Education and fully compliant with the regulations of the Ministry’s ELT English Language Teaching Council (the recognised authority regulating the English language teaching industry in Malta), and the Gateway School Residence are owned and managed by Netz Educational Services Ltd., a company registered (Registration no. C26605) (Vat no. MT 1581-5303) under Maltese law on the 27th of June, 2000.

    -The founders of the company are Mrs Maria Sammut and Mr Charles Sammut. The family work hands-on at the School and the Residence.

    -The company owns the School and its adjacent residential complex.

    -The Director of Studies, Mr Roman Azzopardi and the assistant Director of Studies head the academic team, thus ensuring the highest standards of pedagogic professionalism with first-hand attention by the owners and the dedication typical of a family-run school.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    The General English Course is available at 6 levels all year round: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced.  Students will be placed in the appropriate level according to the results of their placement test and can move on to higher levels according to their progress. Progress tests are held frequently throughout the course to ascertain if a student is ready to move to a higher level.


    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    The course will cover the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.  In this way, even on a beginner’s level, the students are encouraged to develop their own learning strategies.


    In the course, the emphasis is on learning the communicative use of English in everyday situations and is meant to accelerate the pace at which the students achieve certain language independence. 

     
    The course will motivate the students to achieve a real breakthrough into the next level of study, enabling them to work largely on their own.

    - Predict before you read a text
    - Understand and use nouns and verbs with the same form
    - Talk about your like and dislike

  • Gateway School of English GSE (Malta) is located in a quiet and elegant residential neighbourhood close to the vibrant St Julians’ Bay area (12 to 15 minutes’ walk from St Julian’s Bay or Spinola Bay).  The location was carefully chosen from a shortlist of over ten other possible locations because of its ideal combination of desirable features: social quality of the neighbourhood, security and safety, low building density and closeness to green zones, accessibility from and proximity to important shopping and recreational centres.

Facilities

  • The building was specifically designed to ensure optimal conditions for effective learning. The School is a semi-detached two-level building comprising eight bright and spacious classrooms, as well as common areas and plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxation and recreation. Additionally, the adjacent school residence was designed to provide a comfortable and modern home for those students at GSE who choose to live as close as possible to the School.
