Focus of Study :
The traditional “Plus est en vous” has lost none of its freshness and topicality. There is more to every person than he or she perhaps thinks possible. Sincerity, fairness, commitment and perseverance are elements that one may initially experience as the driving forces for sporting success, but which, when transferred to school and community, have a positive effect. In this triad, joy, a sense of togetherness and shared and individual success develop.
Benefit, Goal of this course :
A guest year in stone
The typical motivation for coming to Stein is to strive for the renowned Bavarian Abitur, with the best possible result thanks to our individualized and supportive structures.
However, students from all over the world sometimes want to spend a year at a German boarding school. This is regularly possible in the 9th or 10th grade and is often an integral part of the home school concept, for example a German school abroad with an integrated Germany Year.
Abitur in Stein for international students
Our concept allows motivated and high-performing international students to achieve high school status through an integrative admissions process and to complete the nationally and internationally highly regarded Bavarian Central Abitur in-house.
German as a foreign language
An important component of linguistic and technical language integration are mandatory and individualized language support lessons, which are an integral part of our international students' weekly schedule. Entry with the aim of graduating from high school is typically the 9th or 10th grade.
Guest student status
With a probationary period of, as a rule, one year, the international student is able to gradually but intensively get used to and adapt to our high school system. If the development is positive, the school management, together with the respective class conference, decides on the timing of the entrance examination, followed by a six-month probationary period. This process must be completed by the end of the 10th grade so that admission to the upper secondary school level, and thus the path to the Abitur, is possible.

The craft area includes glass blowing, pottery and model making. In addition to archery, fitness, golf, karate, rugby, diving, tennis, the school also has several horses, a stable and its own paddock. Riding lessons are offered for the students. Since 2010, a new multi-purpose hall has been available to students for physical education classes for common ball sports. The special feature is a spring-loaded glass base in which integrated LEDs display the respective playing field markings for handball, basketball and volleyball. This floor construction is considered to be unique in the world. (as of June 2011) In addition to sport, the holistic educational concept also includes a variety of musical offerings for piano, electric guitar, guitar and drums.
