  • - As you play and learn soccer at boarding school, you receive training tailored to your individual strengths and weaknesses.
    - 10 training sessions per week with a professional main trainer. This is an absolutely unique feature within Germany.
    - It allows players to make their own on-court decisions and learns the requirements of the game in an age-appropriate way, allowing them to independently find the optimal solution for future players on the field.

  • The principle at the German Soccer Boarding School is: "You learn to play football by playing football!" The primary goal of education at DFI is to optimally and individually support the boarding students as well as our external players. At DFI, each player receives training tailored to their strengths and weaknesses four times a week in the morning thanks to a schedule designed to meet the needs of athletes. In the small field area, special emphasis is placed on clean technical execution with a high number of repetitions. The players receive permanent, targeted feedback and coaching from their trainers. In addition, our youngest players should already train as often as possible in "game-related" contexts so that they can also apply the techniques they have learned in the game. In the large field area, the technical foundation will be further maintained and expanded. In addition, individual and group tactical, position-specific, and athletic components take on importance. The second training session of the day takes place on the team compound. Usually at their own club, the DFI Bad Aibling e.V., or at the clubs from the region.

  • Focus of Study :
    Great emphasis is placed on versatility when training players at DFI. The highest premise for all DFI coaches is to challenge and encourage the player in order to minimize over- or under-challenging. The broader the technical and tactical education of the players, the better the decision making of the players in complex game situations and the easier they can adapt to tactical changes. Another important cornerstone in DFI training is that players learn to make their own decisions on the court, regardless of playing defense or offense.The goal is for players to learn the demands of the game in an age-appropriate way during their time at DFI Bad Aibling, so that they can independently find optimal solutions on the field in their future athletic careers.Individuality and teamwork are concepts that are promoted at the same time. Players learn proper group behavior and what it means to experience team spirit, which is instrumental in the development of young football players. These include, above all, teaching social and ethical values as well as demonstrating a positive culture around making mistakes. In this way, kids are encouraged to develop and demonstrate integrity as they grow into young adults. Training at DFI is characterized by the principle of fair play and respectful treatment of players, coaches, staff, the opponent, and the referee. All of this is only possible with a coaching team that has internalized this philosophy and lives it on the field every day. We also accompany talented youth off the pitch and on their way to their individual high school diploma, thus laying the foundation for a career on and off the pitch. The campus takes the societal demands for full-day, quality education and care very seriously. School is seen as a holistic living space, not just a half-day classroom.

    - PROFESSIONAL MAIN TRAINERS
    To ensure that talented youth can develop optimally, we attach great importance to 100% professionalism, e.g. through a full-time coaching staff. From U12 to U19, all teams are trained by a full-time head coach, which is an absolutely unique feature in Germany.
    - 10 X TRAINING PER WEEK
    Because we take the students' athletic development just as seriously as their schooling, training is perfectly integrated into the school day. Up to 10 units per week, which are modified and adapted by the coaches to best meet players' needs (also with non-football content, such as yoga).

    Our laundry team takes care of clean school and football equipment every day, our cleaning service takes care of well-kept rooms

    Daily fresh and athlete-friendly food for our students, employees and guests: In the morning there is an extensive breakfast buffet with fresh rolls from the local baker, various egg dishes and sweet treats.
    At lunchtime we offer daily changing main courses, desserts and a fresh salad buffet. We pay attention to variety, so that there is a suitable meal for everyone.
    Between school and training, freshly made rolls and fruit await our students as a small snack.In the evening there are hot dishes and delicious snacks alternately. Of course, food will be set aside for students who come home later.

  • The leisure opportunities for students at DFI: The city of Bad Aibling is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the foothills of the Alps in Upper Bavaria. With just 18,000 inhabitants, it is a cozy town, but it has a lot to offer thanks to the spa, the Kurhaus, and the parks.

    DFI Bad Aibling is just a ten-minute drive from the Alps. Ideal for our students and also their parents and friends who like to go to the ski slopes. In summer there are countless opportunities for cycling and hiking.

    It's a 20-minute drive to the Wendelstein, an unforgettable destination for mountain hikers, with views as far as Munich awaiting them should they climb the 1,838 meters to the summit cross. Just under 50 km from Bad Aibling lies Munich - the cosmopolitan city with a heart. Here you have ideal access to Munich Airport, the city itself, and the extremely attractive football clubs around the city.
