Host Family Accommodations in Spain
Living
with a host family has two major benefits. First, it's the best way to get to
know Spanish culture and see what daily life is like for a native Spaniard.
Secondly, our host families will speak to students in Spanish 100% of the time,
helping ythem practice the skills they're working on in class in an authentic
context. The school’s host families vary from young families to one or two
retired people, all Spanish speakers and are carefully selected to ensure that their
stay be as pleasant as possible. The staff does their best to find home stays
that will treat students as part of the family. The school will always try to
accommodate students within 10-30 minutes - on foot or via public
transportation - from the Enforex school, even in big cities like Madrid and
Barcelona. Students may choose between a single or double room as well as half
board (breakfast & dinner) or full board (all meals). If students have any
allergies, special dietary requirements, dislike of particular pets or any
other special requests, just let the school know in advance and the school will
do their best to satisfy students’ needs.
Student

all over the world while studying Spanish in Spain, then this is the best
option. The student apartments in Spain bring together international students
from the Enforex school in a pleasant, open atmosphere. The apartments are not
luxurious, but are completely furnished and equipped. No meals are offered but
each apartment has a kitchen with a microwave, pans, cutlery and everything you
might need to cook your own food. There are apartments of different sizes and
characteristics, booked according to availability. Most of them are located
within walking distance from the school or are accessible by a short ride on
public transportation. Students can choose between a single, double or triple room.
Student
Residences in Spain Student residences are centrally located in
most of our Enforex cities, at a maximum of 20-30 minutes from the school.
Choosing this type of accommodation will allow students to meet international
and - in some cases - Spanish students in a stimulating and fun environment. Students
may choose between a single or double room and half board (breakfast &
dinner) or full board (breakfast, lunch & dinner). Access to a private
bathroom may be possible. There are 4 different types of residences -
availability varies by destination. All our residences offer wireless internet
access.
University Campus Residences These
residences are big (from 35 to 150 students) and are mainly for Spanish
University students. University residences tend to be available only in the
summertime, although in some cities, such as Valencia and Granada, students may
be able to find a room during the normal school year. Because of limited
availability, the school cannot guarantee a placement in these residences.
Enforex
Student Residences These residences are much smaller (8 to 25
students) and are shared by international Enforex students. It is similar to a
shared student apartment, but here students can have half board or full board
and their clothes washed once a week. Family Style Residences Family Style
Residences are small residences run by a family. The average number of rooms is
5 or 6, and in most cases the student rooms are located in a different part of
the house. The family is in charge of cooking for the students, who may have
the meals together with the family or in a separate dining
room.
Student Residences without Board Although
meals are not included in this type of residence, there is a large kitchen open
at the students' disposal. This communal space is fully equipped with all the
essentials: utensils, stoves, ovens, microwaves, electric coffee makers and
refrigerators. There are also washing and drying machines available. Shared
areas are cleaned once a week.
Surrounding Area
Living in Salamanca is like being transported to
another era: the entire city center is plastered in golden, historic buildings
dating as far back as the 13th century, the moment of ascendancy of a place
that for the rest of the second millennium would feature as the most
distinguished university town in the entire peninsula. To this day, Salamanca
counts among the most reputed learning centers in the country, which, in turn,
explains the huge concentration of students (roughly 30,000 of them) in what is
otherwise a relatively small city (roughly 150,000 people). Therefore, a
bustling, young population provides the perfect environment to enjoy a
productive spell in this city of culture par excellence, learning the language.
Which is precisely where the school enters the equation: blending right into
the architecture of the city, the Salamanca venue is located in a converted
convent, which provides it with the quaint candor of its facade, while indoors
the modernized facilities are spread over a property of 5,420 square meters,
with a lovely central courtyard. Located in the Calle de la Marquesa de
Almarza, the Spanish School in Salamanca is less than a five-minute walk away
from the Plaza Mayor, Salamanca's main square and the heart of the historical
center. Built by the Churriguera brothers, the Plaza Mayor, with the Casa
Consistorial (Town Hall), is one of the emblematic samples in the city of one
of its two most prevalent architectonic styles: the Churrigueresque (the other
one is the Plateresque, clearly visible, for instance, in the main facade of
the Universidad de Salamanca) In the city center, on the corner of Gran Vía 5
minute walk from the Plaza Mayor, Salamanca's main squareEnforex Madrid is the
second largest language school in Spain. Consisting of a modern, two-story
building in the northern end of the city center, the premises are within a
stone's throw of the Argüelles, San Bernardo and Ventura Rodríguez tube
stations, easily linking it with lines 2, 3, 4 and 6. What's more, the school
is just a short walk away (10 minutes, at the most) from one of the trendiest
areas in the entertainment district, with a virtually endless offer of places
and styles of food and drinks. Equipped to house as many as 400 students, the
Spanish school in Madrid welcomes pupils of all ages from all over the world,
as well as Spaniards who join us to study English, French and German. It's a
tremendously multicultural environment, where everyone is open to meet other
people, to exchange different impressions from distant perspectives and,
ultimately, to experience something altogether new with people from other
places who could, in the end, become new best friends. All of this makes of the language center in Madrid a lively international schools that truly reflects
the nature of this wonderful city. Downtown in "Argüelles / Moncloa",
the university district 5 minute walk from the University and Plaza de España
10 minute walk from Malasaña, one of the most popular neighborhoods for going
out and eating out Metro stops: San Bernardo and Arguelles 9 bus lines right
near the school.
Facilities
Enjoying the best of both worlds, old and new, the students
will be able to take advantage of many amenities, such as a fully equipped
computer lab with free Internet and wireless connection throughout the
building, spacious sporting areas and communal rooms where to carry out their
research, relax or socialize, all within the unique environment of a historical
building. Furthermore, the archeries around the courtyard, and the yard itself
constitute a remarkable sample of traditional religious architecture, which, in
turn, was often adapted in civil constructions in Spain, where the internal
patio and the corridors around it that link it to the building provide a
constant source of fresh breeze and a sheltered area where to enjoy the best of
the weather. With 30 classrooms, and as many as 60 during the summer months,
the Enforex Spanish School in Salamanca is constantly servicing a large
community of students from all over the world, who come to Salamanca lured by
the deep-rooted tradition of learning that exists in the city, such that a
melting pot of cultures, traditions and languages brews spontaneously, allowing
our students to learn much more than just grammar and pronunciation: a spell in
Enforex Salmanca is much more than a language course, it is a lesson for life!
In a renovated and modernized former convent, there are 30 classrooms (up to 60
during summer), a staff room, a lecture room, a computer lab with free internet,
wireless internet in the building (Wi-Fi), common lounge area, beautiful
central patio, and spacious sporting areas.
