Escuela DelenguaAbout the
Escuela Delengua is a Spanish language school located in the very centre of beautiful Granada, providing high-quality Spanish courses and cultural and leisure activities all year round. We have a very competitive prices. The school is in a renovated traditional building at the foot of the Albaicín, and has 3 floors set around an interior patio. We have a library with books and DVDs, as well as free wireless internet access available in the building for all students.
Intensive courses are organized on a grammar part and a conversation part, thus all the linguistic skills are practiced. A part from this more general course, we also offer specific courses for those students who have an intermediate-advanced level, and wish to get closer to the Spanish and Latinoamerican art, history and literature fields. Otherwise students can also complement their intensive course with other specific courses for professionals or non-professionals of the medical, business and legal fields.
Students can also take Dele (Diploma de español como Lengua Exytanjera) preparation courses, based on the exam written and oral tests. You can have a look to our complete offer on our website, under Courses.

20 classes per week (1 class is 45 minutes long), Monday to Friday. Students can also combine extra private lessons to the intensive course, in case they wish to go into detail about some specific topics or just to have more intensive one-to-one classes.

The minimum age we accept for taking part to intensive courses is 16 years old. If students are younger, we propose private classes. Most students are between 20 and 30 years old, but we also receive a lot of more mature students and seniors too. In general, they mostly come from Europe (Holland, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy...), but we have also some students coming from United States and Australia.

SHARE WITH OTHER STUDENTS
Room in a shared apartment. You can book accommodation in shared apartments with other students in a double (shared with another person) or single room.
The comfortable and spacious apartments are shared with other students. All apartments have fully equipped communal kitchens, bathrooms with hot water, washing machine and sitting rooms. Many have a patio or balcony. Bedding is provided, but bath towels are not.
LIVE WITH SPANISH FAMILIES
Spanish families are carefully selected by us.
The price includes half board (breakfast and one meal).
SHARED ACCOMMODATION WITH SPANIARDS
Kitchen and living room in a shared apartment. You can stay in shared accommodation with Spaniards. This gives you the perfect opportunity to practice your Spanish!

If you are travelling alone you must book a single room.
Bedding is provided, but bath towels are not.
HOTEL OR GUESTHOUSE
If you prefer, you can also book accommodation in a hotel, guesthouse or separate holiday apartment.
PRIVATE FLAT
The property is located in one of the most beautiful and picturesque areas of the city at the feet of the Alhambra and the Paseo de Tristes is within walking distance. The area is also full of a range of bars and restaurants.
The flat is on the ground floor of a typical building in the Albaycin area. It boasts a large kitchen-diner (with a sofa bed), a fully equipped kitchen, one bedroom with a double bed, another with a single bed and two bathrooms. Everything is decorated tastefully and to a high quality.
Without a doubt, it is a great option to live a ten minutes’ walk from Escuela Delengua.
Bedding is provided, but bath towels are not.
Surrounding Area
Granada is a city in southern Spain’s Andalusia region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.
Activity
Our daily activities are thought to make the students get closer to the Spanish traditions and culture in a pleasant way, so we organize guided tours through Granada, international dinners, karaoke nights, tapas tours... The participation to the activities is totally free, students have to pay only the entrance tickets to museums or any other fee external to Delengua. In the weekends we organize excursions in collaboration with a professional guide, who take students to different places in Andalusia, such as Cordoba, Seville, Alpujarra towns or Tropical Coast. Each excursion has a fee and this includes the transports, an insurance and the guide.
