STAY IN A HOMESTAY
If you choose a homestay, you pay us your accommodation money and we pay the homestay contractor every two weeks to cover your accommodation costs. You need to know that homestay accommodation is only arranged for the international student who is studying with us. Sorry, but we do not place partners or parents/relatives of students in a homestay.
Homestays are safe
UP Education and our contractor make sure all homestays are safe and suitable for our students. Each home is inspected and families are interviewed before students are placed with them. Students are also visited at least three times a year to make sure their experience remains positive.
Surrounding Area
Auckland is New Zealand’s biggest city and home to many different cultures. Situated around a beautiful harbour, the city has many parks, beaches and different suburbs to explore. Public transport is easy to access, there are lots of different places to eat and drink and Auckland celebrates major festivals throughout the year including Diwali, Chinese New Year and Matariki (Maori New Year).
Apart from our stunning landscape (and rugby), New Zealand is also famous for the quality of our food and wine, and increasingly our craft beer and coffee too. Sustainability, organic farming and traditional techniques all form part of our rich and diverse food culture, and you’ll find that hospitality is second nature to Kiwis. We love sharing food and making people feel right at home.
