Location
Accommodation
Homestay All of AEA homestays are carefully selected and undergo numerous checks. Every person over 18 in the family is police vetted and the house is visited on a regualr basis to ensure a high standard of care. Homestay is an excellent option for those wanting to practice their English, learn about Kiwi culture and feel like part of a family while away from home. Homestay will only be arranged once a student has provided at least 2 weeks advance notice, confirmed flight arrival details and 4 weeks homestay fees (if this information is not provided, students will be required to stay in a standard hotel, student hostel or backpacker accommodation until a homestay becomes available. Students will be required to pay for this themselves). If a student wishes to change from homestay to another form of accommodation, they must give a minimum of 3 weeks notice and pay for the final 3 weeks of homestay. The cost of transport to the new accommodation will be the responsibility of the student. If your student changes his/her mind and decides they no longer require homestay accommodation, please let us know immediately (preferably before they arrive in New Zealand). If a student changes from homestay to another form of accommodation after arrival, homestay fees will be paid to the student on an equal fortnightly basis for the duration of their course. Under no circumstances will homestay fees be paid in one lump sum. Auckland is a city which covers a very large area. As a result, travel time to and from homestay usually ranges between 30 minutes and 1 hour by bus. Students should be made aware of this before they reach New Zealand. For students to truly enjoy the homestay experience and improve their English, they must join in and talk to their homestay families. Helping with the chores is also a good idea!
AEA students accommodation Our other option is the student residence. AEA students stay at Rockland’s Accommodation in Epsom. There are various room options available to students and one of our marketers can help you choose the right option for you. Rockland’s is self catering and is great for students who are more independant.
