Nelson English Centre was accepted into ENGLISH NEW ZEALAND in 1999 and IALC in 2008. The school cooperates with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) for further studies in tourism, IT and business. Our intention was to build a top quality educational institute in one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand. We are committed to delivering a high standard of service to our students and have gained a reputation for consistent, quality teaching and excellent pastoral support. Our school has personality. We are not a chain school, but owned by a teaching Director helped by proud Nelson staff. The school has a ‘buzz’' and you will have the time of your life. Nelson is small and lively. It has a campus feeling with cafes and style. People are friendly and talk to you in English. Most variety. Golden beaches, forests and mountains one hour from the city centre. We can’t think of any place in New Zealand with so much variety.

Accomodation
Nelson English Centre offers Homestay Programme. Nelson has many wonderful homestay families. They have a well-organised system to make sure students get the best possible experience. Homestay is living with a Kiwi family and doing what Kiwi's do. Homestay includes breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Students will have their own room which will have a bed, study table etc. Most homestays are within a 30 minute walk to school or easy to get to on a bike or by bus. All homestay families are different, some of them have internet at home and some will lend bikes to students for their duration of study. Nelson English Centre tries their best matc the students with a family who has the same interests as them as well as trying to match their requests that Nelson recieve on the enrolment form, eg near the beach, family with children etc. The advantage of homestay is that students will get all day English practice and experience the kiwi lifestyle. Nelson's homestay coordinator is available to help with any questions or problems students may have.
