I studied at Dorset College and took an English program (GE2). Most of all, my result was brilliant. I improved a lot in English. I can select the class and study time by myself. I had 6 months (24 weeks). It is different from General English Program; while General English is more for the beginners; my course was more for intermediate students who are willing to improve on their skills in grammar, reading and writing. There is a 22.5 hours of class every week. I took the class from 9:00~12:15, and 1:00~3:45. You can attend the class that is suitable for your level and I started off with the beginner’s class. There are many one-to-one classes, which is the best for correcting pronunciation. Dorset’s program really depends on one’s will to study and improve. If you participate well in class, you will be able to see yourself improving in a short time. Whenever I had free time, I hanged around with friends in the city. Due to that fact that I had so many international friends, I could learn, understand and accept other friends’ cultures and ideologies. For my case, I moved from homestay to a dormitory. Homestay was a good opportunity for me, so I tried it for a couple of months. The Irish family I stayed with was really nice and kind. It was very good to experience another country’s home culture. All the memories are priceless. When I moved to a dormitory, making dinners with foreign friends and sharing food was a good memory too.
