Category I by University Grants Commission (UGC) and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018 has ranked Symbiosis International University 44th amongst the top 100 Universities in the country. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is also ranked 144 In BRICS Ranking and 247 amongst the top 250 universities in Asia by QS World University ranking agencies.  

The University has 41 Institutes / Departments distributed in campuses at Pune, Nasik, Bengaluru,NOIDA, Hyderabad and Nagpur. The establishment of every institute of Symbiosis has some history.
