The Goethe-Institut is the official cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany since 1951 and has a network of 136 Goethe-Instituts and 11 liaison offices in 93 countries, 750 cooperative partners around the world and 13 Goethe-Instituts in Germany at the moment. There are 185.000 language students per year learning German at one of the Goethe-Instituts worldwide. Each year approximately 32,000 course participants from all over the world appreciate the high-quality, systematic and wide-ranging program of German courses at 13 locations in Germany. Students will also get to know Germany and its people in their everyday lives as they live, work and enjoy themselves.

This results in tight integration of the classroom lessons, self-study activities and practice. At all levels students also have the option of taking one of our examinations which are recognized around the world.
Class hours: The intensive german course offers year-round 4 weeks. 4 weeks program offers Mon-Fri 8:30 - 1:00 or 1:30 - 6:00. Students will learn in group for weeks in an afternoon course and there are 12 possible starting dates per year.

Apartments in our guesthouse:
Students are also welcome to rent one of the five apartments in the guesthouse (suitable for 1–2 persons). Information on pricing and availability on request.
Surrounding Area
The Goethe-Institut Göttingen is housed along with its guesthouse in a splendid historical villa with spacious grounds. The institute is just 10 minutes on foot from the old city center and the university campus.

11 well-equipped classrooms, Media resource center, WLAN, Cafeteria, Breakfast and lunch can be booked in the institute's own restaurant, Common room, Music rooms with two upright pianos and a grand piano, Terrace, Volleyball court in the garden
