The Goethe-Institut is the official cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany since 1951 and has a network of 136 Goethe-Instituts and 11 liaison offices in 93 countries, 750 cooperative partners around the world and 13 Goethe-Instituts in Germany at the moment. There are 185.000 language students per year learning German at one of the Goethe-Instituts worldwide. Single rooms (private accommodation): This is a single room with basic and functional furnishings. Bed linen and towels are provided. Students will share bathroom and kitchen with other students. It is located within the city.
Apartments Students apartments are furnished with basic and functional furniture. Internet, coin-operated washing machines and dryers, bed linen and towels are provided. It is a non-smoking building and is located in a two-minute walk from the institute.
Surrounding Area
The Goethe-Institut Hamburg is at the heart of the city, near the Binnenalster lake and the gallery/museum district known as the Kunstmeile, or 'Art Mile'. It occupies the top two floors of an impressive 19th-century building. The central location at the main train station ensures optimal transportation links.
Facilities
Students have access to 7 well-equipped classrooms, a media resource center, WLAN, and free access to the central library on the ground floor.

All students can participate in day trips and
weekend excursions, city walking tour and guided tours, visit to
museums and exhibitions, theater performances, concerts and
