We are a boarding school sponsored by the Diocese of Münster, state-recognized and approved by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. This names the two reference points for our pedagogical concept: we are a grammar school with a bilingual branch, fixed all-day offers and numerous international school partnerships, which teach according to the curricula of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and meet the requirements of this state. But we are also a grammar school sponsored by the Diocese of Münster. That explains our special features and makes for differences to the state schools.
The starting point of our pedagogical considerations is the Christian image of man, man as a person who must be encouraged in his entirety. Intellectual training is of course taken very seriously at our grammar school, but heart, hand, mind and soul must also be encouraged and trained. A holistic education requires intellectual training with modern methods, but also music and art, sports and drama. The physical education classes are not cut back, they are supplemented by working groups. Every sextan is a member of the choir. Instrumental lessons are offered extracurricularly, artistic working groups help to develop the appropriate talents. Year after year, concerts and our own theater productions show that this holistic education is not just on paper.

The Collegium Johanneum Schloss Loburg school is located between Munster and Osnabrück (Westphalia region), in the town of Ostbevern, in the ancient castle of Loberg. The building of the castle is perfectly preserved: its majestic view immerses the students in the atmosphere of antiquity, contributes to attentive and thoughtful studying, creates a comfortable academic atmosphere. The main goal of this school is the comprehensive development of a full and multifaceted personality, the ability to occupy responsible and high positions, work efficiently and with full dedication. The scheme of scholastic studying is actively used: it is aimed at the formation of one's own persistent opinion and point of view through the analysis of proven scientific facts. Creative and intellectual abilities develop, basic Christian values and human qualities are inculcated:
Tolerance; Compassion; Respect for others; Love for one's neighbor; Forgiveness; Sincerity;
Honesty.
The example is given to the children by their mentors, who constantly interact with pupils and are responsible for their safety and development. Today, foreign students represent 15 different countries in the Collegium Johanneum Schloss Loburg. If the applicant has a basic, initial level of German, he is offered an effective one-year language course (30 hours weekly). In one class there are from 25 to 33 children. Partnerships have been established with many foreign educational institutions in France, India and China.

- Accommodation in the castle Loburg
The Collegium Johanneum Schloss Loburg pupils are offered cozy 1-2-bed rooms, on a full board basis. High school students usually occupy personal, single bedrooms.
For students who will be admitted to our boarding school from the school year 2022 / 2023, the following monthly pension payments apply:
– €1,850
for students who go home on the weekends home;
– €2,500
for (international) students who stay at the boarding school on the weekends they go home;
– €2,900
for students attending the Loburg Language Year.
*The pension money covers the costs for accommodation, meals and for the supervision and supervision by our educators as well as for supervision during the learning times (supervised learning, learning groups), participation in the educational offers of the Loburg Academy and the extensive leisure activities. The price for our international students also includes washing and ironing their laundry. We also offer our German students our laundry service for a small monthly fee. Activity
Of the sports activities available to students in their spare time, the most popular team games, tennis and swimming. There are a large number of different clubs, sports and creative sections, social communities. You can do a certain kind of art, participate in the activities of the theater studio and play in the theater. The decorative and applied art is actively developed, the jazz orchestra and string ensemble are working, the circle for chess fans is popular.
Getting to the school from the airport
You can arrive via Frankfurt or Münster Osna Brook Airport, or you can request a pick-up from the school. It takes 3.5 to 4 hours via Muenster.
