Sprachenatelier BerlinAbout the
Sprachenatelier Berlin is an international centre for language learning, cultural exchange and the promotion of art. Although the main focus is offering German courses to students from around the world, we also promote art and artists working in film, literature, painting, sculpture, music, etc. The aim is to offer students learning German and other languages the international cultural experience that defines Berlin's culture as a whole, while in turn providing artists with young global audiences to attend their film showings, readings, exhibitions and concerts in the Sprachenatelier salon. Students themselves are also encouraged to actively display their own creativity and artistic talents at events hosted by Sprachenatelier. Daily cultural outings are also a key aspect of the learning experience at Sprachenatelier. The trips to places of cultural and historical interest around Berlin and to cities such as Potsdam, Dresden, Leipzig and Munich enable students to activate newly acquired language skills and immerse themselves in the diversity of German culture. At Sprachenatelier international politics is an important aspect of culture. This belief is reflected in the school's hosting of events that focus on a single country, its political situation and cultural mood. At these events, experts are invited to participate in panel discussions and artists present their work as well as discuss the political climate of their respective country from the perspective of the artist. The ability to offer such culturally rich and diverse opportunities is made possible by the network of contacts and partners, which comprises over 50 colleges and universities from five continents.

Berlin WGs vary greatly in occupancy—from two to 20 housemates. Whether it's sharing breakfast, cooking, talking or partying, a room in a shared flat provides students with opportunities to socialize in German and is a good option for a long or short stay. Berlin also has an array of city magazines and daily newspaper which list room and apartment rentals. The current monthly price for a room in a shared apartment ranges from 200 to 400 Euros.
