In order to achieve the goal, the establishment of two different school branches, the Gymnasium and Realschule branches, has proven to be very useful. In certain cases, it is quite possible to switch from one branch to the other without having to give up the familiar environment or long-established friendships. In addition to the normal breaks between the lessons, there is a longer lunch break from 12:20 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., during which the students are provided with warm and varied meals from the in-house kitchen. There is also enough time to relax, e.g. through play and sports equipment in the schoolyard. In addition to the teachers, the parents and students also have the opportunity to hold counseling sessions with our school social worker. Around 185 students are currently attending the Burgberg-Gymnasium, 20 of whom live in the boarding school.

Bad Harzburg is a spa town in central Germany, in the Goslar district of Lower Saxony. It lies on the northern edge of the Harz mountains and is a recognised saltwater spa and climatic health resort.
Activity
Many students of the Burgberg Gymnasium in their free time are engaged in sports - for this in the territory and outside it there are all kinds of conditions. You can learn tennis or archery, go to a ski resort in Austria (usually these tours are arranged on holidays for whole groups), go kayaking, go on a boat trip or play with other students in any team game.
Various entertaining, leisure extra-curricular activities, parties, contests and discotheques are constantly organized, as well as educational trips, seminars, excursions and lectures.They can be devoted to studying modern European languages, choosing a profession or specialty, universities of the country. Additional computer courses are offered.
