Host family
Staying with a French host family is a unique and rich experience, a real immersion into French life style. You will have your own room, own key and you are independent up to a certain extent, but you will have to adapt yourself to the family’s meals time and the rules of the home. Showing interest in your hosts and being open minded towards them will help you to integrate quickly. You will benefit the most in fully practicing your French language outside of school, and also have an interesting insight into French culture.
We place great importance on reserving the best matching family for you. Our accommodation officer studies each students application carefully in order to book a family according to your profile. All families are carefully selected and we have good reputation for providing excellent host families.
Student Residences
The student residences are very popular for those who like independency and meeting other students from all around the world. You have your own room including private bathroom and own equipped kitchen (or access to an equipped common kitchen). You prepare your meals yourself or together with other students. You can also enjoy many reasonable priced restaurants and student bars nearby. You will have to respect the rules of the residence, but you are completely independent. Most students staying at the student residence are between 18 and 35 years old, but also some more mature students young at mind chose this option. The atmosphere is lively. You are in close distance to school.
If you prefer the idea of mixing with other students from all over the world, going out a lot and having independency rather than integrating the household of a local family, this option should be considered.
Room at University campus
Like the Student Residences, the rooms on the University campus are very popular for our younger students, who want to enjoy independence and meet other students from around the world. More basic and smaller than the rooms at the Student Residences, this is the most economic residential accommodation, but only available in July and August and only for students over 18.
Based on a campus from the Montpellier University, you have a private room with private bathroom. You can eat at the University restaurants since no kitchen is available. You will have to respect the rules of the residence, but you are completely independent. Most students staying on the University Campus are aged between 18 and 30. The atmosphere is lively. Distance wise, you are in 10 – 15 minutes from school by public transport.
Aparthotel
The aparthotels are more upmarket than the student residences and offer higher quality accommodation and services. The aparthotels also provide air conditionned studios with private bathrooms and private kitchens. This type of residence suits the more discerned student looking for independent accommodation.
Hotels
We can book hotels of all categories and price levels. Due to the fact that hotels are relatively expensive compared with the other accommodation offered we only recommend hotels for shorter stays.
Surrounding Area
Montpellier opens like an amphitheater towards the Mediterranean sea with its endless beaches of fine sand. On the way to the beach you will pass the “Etangs” (salt lagoons) and admire the huge colonies of gorgious wild pink flamingos.
The excellent location between Provence, Cévennes mountains, the Camargue and the Pyrenees offers you countless possibilities for excursions. The landscapes around Montpellier are fascinating, marked by harsh beauty, with many gorges, creeks and picturesque villages. Take advantage of our excursion program and admire some UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Avignon, Carcassonne, Nimes and Pont du Gard.
Wine is grown everywhere, enjoy some of the famous wines of the region. Visit the wineyards and the local markets that seduce you with scents of lavender and rosemary. Taste delicious local products, while enjoying the easy lifestyle under the sun of southern France.

안녕하세요. 저는 스터디데스티니를 통해 작년에는 몰타로 영어 어학연수를
다녀오고, 올해는 프랑스 몽펠리에로 불어 어학연수를 다녀왔습니다.
제가 이번에도 스터디데스티니를 선택한 이유는 작년에 몰타에 갔을 때 저렴한 가격으로 퀄리티 높은 수업과 기숙사에서
지낼 수 있었고 매우 만족스러운 생활을 하였기 때문입니다.
이번에 프랑스로 어학연수를 갈 때에도 작년과 마찬가지로 저렴한 가격으로 수업을 듣고 생활 할 수 있는 곳으로
가는 것이 우선적이었고 몽펠리에를 추천해주셔서 다녀오게 되었습니다.
제가 다닌 ILA 어학원에 대해 말씀드리자면 수업은 따로 교재없이 pdf 파일로 진행됩니다. 그래서 노트북이나 아이패드 등 스크린이
큰 기기를 가져가시는 것이 좋습니다.
수업은 불어로 진행되었으며 알파벳과 발음정도는 한국에서 미리 익혀가시는 것을 추천드립니다.
저는 알파벳과 발음, 간단한 단어 정도만 알고 갔었고 처음에 수업에
적응하는 데에 시간이 걸렸습니다. 그래서 모르는 단어나 문장들은 중간에 사전이나 번역기를 이용해 수업을
들었습니다.
수업이 끝나면 항상 복습과 숙제를 하였고 불어로 말하려고 노력한 결과 불어를 한 문장도 못했던 제가
3주차 부터는 간단한 문장을 만들고 표현할 수 있게 되었습니다.
영어와는 다른 불어만의 또 다른 매력에 빠지게 되었습니다. 한국어와
불어가 문법적으로 비슷한 부분이 있고 동사변형이 까다로울 뿐 동사와 동사를 연결할 때에는 오히려 영어보다 더 쉽다고 느껴졌었습니다.
몽펠리에는 프랑스 남부에 위치한 도시라 연중 기후가 온화하고 따뜻하며 주변에 바다가 있어서 바다에 놀러가실 수
있습니다.
또한 숙소에서 버스를 타고 15분 정도, 어학원에서는 7분 정도 걸으면 몽펠리에 기차역이 있어 기차를 타고
파리에 가서 에펠탑을 보고 온 경험도 기억에 남습니다.
저의 어쩌면 마지막 어학연수일 수도 있는 20대의 중반에 좋은 유학원을
알게 되어 영어와 불어를 배우게 되어 기쁩니다.
