Established in 1974, Oxford House College provides English Language courses in central London in a spacious and modern building. As well as General English we also offer more specialist courses such as English for Business Success, IELTS and Conversation/Pronunciation classes.We are an established Cambridge ESOL centre, providing FCE, CAE and CPE courses throughout the day. Students can study anytime between 9.00 and 20.30, Monday to Friday. Our English courses are accredited by the British Council and EAQUALS, and offer the best value for money of any accredited organisation. We are also a recognised by UKBA as a Tier 4 sponsor for General Student Visas. Our Teacher Training department provides courses for CELTA (18 per year), DELTA (twice a year) as well as Overseas Teacher courses throughout the year. We are a college dedicated to helping our students fulfil their goals, dreams and ambitions at an affordable price.
Focus of Study : The Centre is well equipped and offers a wide range of intensive English courses for highly motivated individuals wishing to improve their language skills for personal or professional reasons.
Curriculum :
The Semi-intensive English Course are scheduled in the morning 9:30 - 12:30 with 15 lessons per week. The Semi-Intensive English lessons focus on helping you communicate effectively and confidently in everyday. The wide-ranging syllabus will improve your listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
The Semi-intensive English is offered year-round with sessions beginning every Monday. The program is the most comprehensive and popular course at school and enables each student’s all round skills to develop in the morning, with a particular focus on areas to improve or special interests in the afternoon. Upon their arrival, are required to take a placement test to help determine the level best-suited to their ability. At the end of the session, students are evaluated for advancement to the next level based upon their academic improvement.
This program assists students at any ability level in developing English language skills, general communication skills, and building confidence when speaking. Instruction focuses on grammar, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Each week, academic objectives are planned in advance and discussed with the students. Typically time before the morning break is spent focusing on grammatical structures, accuracy and vocabulary. After the break the teacher focuses more on fluency and listening skills including social and functional English.

Students can learn more about the British way of life by staying with carefully selected English families. It is essential to feel really relaxed and comfortable and within easy reach of RLT - a short walk or bus journey. Accommodation includes breakfast and dinner during the week and full board at weekends. Laundry is provided by the host family. Homestay in Richmond and the London area is provided through an accommodation agency. Shared rooms are available only if you are coming with another person at the same time and leaving at the same time.

Home to the rich and famous, Richmond is one of London's most sought after locations offering a safe and secure village environment within one of the world's busiest cities. Whether it be punting on the River Thames, cycling past the deer in Richmond park or shopping on Oxford Street this location offers the ideal London experience. Richmond has narrow streets with elegant shops, traditional pubs, restaurants, internet cafes, coffee bars and tea rooms. The town is also known as a centre for antiques and collectables. The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew has a unique collection of plants and 300 acres of woodland, rose gardens, marine display and Palm Houses which are a delight to visit at any time of the year.Richmond Language Training is located on one of the main shopping streets in the centre of Richmond. Occupying 2 floors of what would once have been a town house. It has a spacious reception area where you will be greeted on arrival, five classrooms and its own cafeteria shared by students and teachers.
