Another area of focus has been developing our campus in the heart of London. We have established a presence on Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The New Academic Building, designed by Grimshaw, opened in 2008, and in 2013, 32 Lincoln’s Inn Fields became the home of the Department of Economics and related research centres.
The School’s first new build for 40 years was the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre. Designed by O'Donnell & Tuomey, the building was shortlisted for the 2014 Stirling Prize.
Focus of Study : English for Academic Purposes (EAP) focuses on the skills required to perform in an English speaking academic environment across the core subject areas you will encounter during your time at LSE.
Benefit, Goal of this course : Programmes are divided into presessional courses, for support before you begin your studies, and insessional courses, for support during your studies. The latter include a focus on the specific linguistic demands of your particular area of study and are taken alongside your other subjects.
