ILSC Language Schools has been offering language training programs to International students from more than 100 countries since 1991, and is the largest and longest running of ILSC Education Group’s 5 divisions, which also include Colleges, Teacher Training, Language Training for Business, and Continuing Education.
Since opening its first school in Vancouver, BC, Canada in 1991, ILSC has become a world leader in language training, and has grown to include 8 incredible locations around the world, in Vancouver, Toronto and Montréal, Canada; New Delhi, India; and Brisbane, Melbourne Sydney and Adelaide, Australia.

Focus of Study : General English Program focuses on improving students' communication skills, mainly on speaking and listening, through dynamic group activities. Students interact with their classmates in different social circumstances; both real and role-played situations.
Benefit, Goal of this course : This course provides an intensive language immersion and an excellent opportunity to improve your speaking skills quickly. ILSC’s unique educational approach actively involves students in the learning process. Classroom activities are designed to match students’ interests.

There are two options available: Live with a homestay family or Live independently.
* ILSC’s Homestay families:
- Are located up to 60 minutes travelling distance from the school
- Provide you with a clean, comfortable, private room, equipped with a desk, bed, dresser, closet and good lighting
- Are culturally diverse and reflect Adelaide's multicultural population
- Are safe, secure, inspected and approved by our Student Accommodation Department
- Can provide healthy meals

Surrounding Area
Adelaide is known for its Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers (December – February) and cool, mild winters (June - August.) Adelaide has 2500 hours of sunshine per year so rain is light and infrequent, usually happening in the colder months, so make sure to pack your sunglasses!

Set along a coastline of beautiful beaches, Adelaide offers a thriving art scene, historic architecture, famous wineries, busy nightlife, and exciting cuisine. Connect with friends at ILSC, and explore Adelaide with daily after-school activities. The activities vary depending on the season and can include things like cycling, exploring local museums and art galleries, checking out local markets, movie nights and more! Afternoon activities typically have minimal fees and an ILSC teacher or activities coordinator will be your guide.
- Weekend Adventures
Get out of town with ILSC! Explore South Australia’s beautiful landscapes and attractions. Visit Australia’s third-largest island, Kangaroo Island or take a day trip to Adelaide Hills. You can also see why Adelaide is known for its world-famous wineries in Barossa Valley, with over 150 to kick back and relax with a glass of wine. Be sure to keep checking Adelaide’s Activity Calendar for all of the information and updates.
- School Events
We are busy all year round bringing the ILSC community together with events like Christmas, Halloween and Australia Day parties. Come share in the good times with new friends from all around the world!
- Work While You Study
Most student visas in Australia allow you to work for up to 20 hours per week while your course is in session and unrestricted hours during any scheduled course break. However, keep in mind finding a job may be difficult and you should not expect to cover your tuition fees or other expenses from part-time employment.
Getting to the school from the airport
If you request airport pickup, someone will meet you at the airport and bring you to your accommodation.
