Surrounding Area
The school campus is located in the central part of Byron Bay, 2 minutes walk from the bus stop- Map. We occupy a two storey building in Jonson Lane. Access is also available from Carlyle Street. Cafe Oska and some accommodation are also part of our school premises. Outside the 5 ground floor classrooms there is a sheltered outdoor garden area for students to relax, eat lunch and enjoy conversations with other students. The first floor includes 8 classrooms, an indoor common area, a semi commercial kitchen, some dormitory accommodation and two balcony areas.
Facilities
Our school BBELS has 14 comfortable air-conditioned classrooms. There is a large covered outdoor common space and upstairs balcony which we also use for conversation groups and our famous Friday night BarBQ's. TV/video facilities are also used in classrooms.
Activity
So we have a dedicated activities service for our students. Max Donati is a long term resident of Byron Bay. His knowledge and experience is something that BBELS students greatly appreciate. Max loves golf, swimming, beach volleyball and poker. He is also a fluent Italian speaker, a gifted musician (guitar and vocals) as well as an Australia Croquet champion.
Every month we publish our Activity Schedule to outline the activities and excursions (free and paid) that are provided each day of the week. Additionally there are other activities published each week - new ones - that were not published on the monthly schedule. These include:
surfing » diving » horse riding
» sky dive » salsa » camping trips
