Getting to the school from the airport
Kaplan transfers You should fly to Chicago O`Hare or Midway Airport. If you have paid for the Transfer Service, a greeter holding a Kaplan sign will meet you outside, after you have claimed your luggage.

건축물 요트 투어가 가장 좋았습니다. 시카고에 오시면 반드시 해보셔야 해요. 건축물들과 미시간호의 색이 너무 잘 어우러집니다.
일대일 과정
일대일 과정을 선택한 이유는 제가 원하는 분야에 특화된 교육을 원했기 때문입니다. 그룹 수업은 커리큘럼에 따라 주제가 정해져 있지만, 일대일 과정은 제가 주제를 선택할 수 있고 그만큼 저에게 필요했던 비즈니스 회화, 공학 용어 등에 집중할 수 있으니까요. 수업은 매번 다르게 구성되어 어느 날은 제가 원하는 주제를 설정해 정해진 시간 동안 자유롭게 얘기하며 선생님께서 저의 문제점을 집어 주실 때도 있었고 다른 날은 제가 고객사와 미팅하는 것처럼 저희 회사의 장비와 제품을 프레젠테이션을 해보거나, 발음 때문에 소통에 문제가 생기기도 해 하루 수업을 몽땅 발음 교정에 투자하기도 했습니다. 그 덕분에 지금은 적어도 일적으로 사용해야 하는 영어에서만큼은 놀랄 만큼 발전했습니다. 발음이 원어민처럼 좋지는 못해도 발음 때문에 소통에 문제가 생기는 일도 없구요. 영어를 어디에 어떻게 써야 한다는 것이 명확하다면, 혹은 본인 영어의 문제점을 찾고 싶다면 일대일 과정을 추천드립니다.
어학연수 후 얻은 큰 수확
카플란은 학생들이 영어를 사용할 수 있도록 교실 안팎으로 기회를 계속 만들어 주어, 스피킹을 연습할 기회가 많았던 점이 가장 만족스러웠습니다. 한국인은 생각보다 영어를 잘한다고 생각합니다. 다만 말을 못 할 뿐. 카플란에선 말을 할 수 있는 기회를 계속 만들어 주기에 연수에 투자한 시간이 전혀 아깝지 않았습니다.

최고의 위치, 최고의 선생님들을 만났습니다. 선생님들 스태프분들이 한 분 한 분 모두 친절하시고 열정적이세요. 특히 중상급 (Higher intermediate) 반 선생님이셨던 Sam 선생님이 한국과 한국 문화를 좋아하셔서 연수를 마친 지금도 연락하고 지내고 있습니다. 수업은 특정한 주제에 대해 배우고, 그것을 활용해 토론하는 방식으로 진행되었습니다.
한국식으로 책을 읽으며 배우는 딱딱한 방식의 수업이 아닌 영어를 실제로 사용하며 수업이 진행되기 때문에 영어가 늘 수밖에 없습니다.
