The best way to practice English and learn about American culture is to live with an American family. Students can experience the customs, foods, sports, music and all those things that make up the "American way of life." A host family can be a couple or a single adult. They may have children or they may not. Many of the host families have been actively involved in Golden Gate's program for a number of years. All of the families have been carefully chosen because of their desire to provide students with a pleasant study abroad experience. Each home has been visited and approved for our service by the GGLS coordinator. Each student has a private room. Programs available with or without meals. (This service is provided for students that study for a minimum of 15 hours per week.)

The school is at the intersection of San Tomas Expressway and Hamilton Avenue and is easily accessible by car with free parking on the premises. There is also a major bus stop in front of the school which connects to the train and light rail systems.

Golden Gate Language School offers students modern classrooms with flat panel screens and a well-equipped lunchroom facility with complimentary coffee and tea. In addition, there is a computer laboratory for class work, email and internet, as well as free wireless internet access throughout the school. The administrative offices are also conveniently located on the premises.
