This program is a fast way for international students to earn their Washington State high school diploma while earning credits toward a bachelor's degree. It takes approximately two years to complete the program (depending on English proficiency) and students are able to begin their college studies even before they finish high school. It's a time- and money-saver for students and their families.
When students complete the program, they graduate with both an associate's degree and a Washington State high school diploma. They are immediately able to transfer to a university to complete the last two years of study needed to earn a bachelor's degree.

Homestay: If students choose homestay, they will live with a carefully-selected American host family. Hosts provide a private, fully furnished room, three meals a day, and a family atmosphere. This is a great option if the student wants to experience American culture firsthand. The total cost is $600 per month.
Single room: If students wish to live independently and prepare their own meals, they can rent a private furnished room in the home of a local family. They will have access to bathroom and family kitchen facilities in the home. Single rooms rent for $450 per month.

The Pierce College District is location in Pierce County, Washington, approximately 30 miles south of Seattle. There are two colleges in the district, both of with offer stunning views of Mount Rainier. Pierce College Fort Steilacoom is located on 140 acres in the city of Lakewood, which is 10 miles southwest of Tacoma. The campus is adjacent to Fort Steilacoom Park, which boasts 342 acres on Waughhop Lake with walking and horse trails, play areas, and fields. The campus is just one mile from the waters of the Puget Sound, and snow-covered mountain ranges visible in both directions. Pierce College Puyallup is located in the city of Puyallup, which is 10 miles southeast of Tacoma and home to the largest fair in the state. The Puyallup campus is on 85 wooded acres in the South Hill area of Puyallup. It is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.

Washington is renowned for its mild climate. Temperatures range from 5-10 degrees Celsius in the winter to the low-20sC in the summer. Winter weather is generally rainy.
