Hawaii Pacific University is a private, nonsectarian, coeducational university located in Honolulu and Kaneohe in Hawaii, founded in 1965. It is the largest private university in the central Pacific, most noted for its diverse student body of almost 9,000 students, representing over 100 countries. The school's largest academic programs are in Business administration, nursing, psychology, and international studies. HPU has two main campuses in addition to an Oceanic Institute and Military programs. Education at Hawaii Pacific University is based on a traditional liberal arts foundation. TRANSCRIPTS:
International students must provide third-party certified evaluations (COURSE-BY-COURSE WITH GPA CALCULATION) and translation from NACES member organizations. Third-party certified evaluations must be sent directly to HPU from the issuing NACES member organization to be considered official. The most common organizations used are WES or ECE as they provide electronic delivery.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Personal copies of TOEFL or IELTS scores are not considered official. Please have the official score report sent to HPU directly from TOEFL or IELTS, we do accept electronic delivery.
Non-native English speakers must satisfy the English competency requirement by completing one (1) of the following:
- Graduate from a college or university from the United States or from the list of countries below or;
- Earn a minimum TOEFL, IELTS or Eiken score as stated in the table (no more than two years old by the intended entry term); IBT TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0
- Enroll in ELS and complete Level 112

There is an on-site café and many restaurants in the area. Supermarket is only 5 minutes away byfoot. Min Age: 18 Key/Damage: $5.00 deposit required upon arrival to the residenceDescription: All rooms are singles with shared bathroom down the hall. Linens and towels included and students have full access to the YMCA facilities such as gym, weight room, fitness classes and pool. The YMCA is a 5 minute walk to the ELScenter, Hawaii Pacific University, Downtown, Chinatown, the Arts District and another 5 minutes to the famous Aloha Tower Marketplace. There are many bus lines nearthe residence with direct buses to Ala Moana and Waikiki. Students have access to coin operated laundry machines.

Double rooms have en-suite bathrooms however shared with adjoining unit (maximum 4 persons sharing bathroom) and single rooms have en-suite bathrooms however shared with adjoining unit (maximum 2 persons sharing bathroom). Students also have internet access downstairs as well as access to living room with TV, study area, kitchenette, and coin operated laundry machines.
