This English course is designed to mainly concentrate on enhancing students' English communication skills and will thus put an emphasis on speaking and listening comprehension. The Intensive English class is soley for the purpose of developing students' both spoken and written English.

GEOS English courses prioritize on developing students' oral communication skills, hence speaking and listening. Students are supported by extensively trained faculties who help them work on conversational and applicable English skills with creative activities. At the beginning of each course, students will be given a placement test that closely examines their English proficiency and thus places them in the appropriate level of class ranging from beginner to advanced, in six different difficulties. Also at the end of each term which lasts for four weeks, students will take a written exam and have teachers consult the result with them in order to receive personal feedbacks and advices. The exam will become the main tool to observe each student's progress. Progress reports will be handed out in a monthly term and a certificate will be issued at the end of the course by GEOS.

GEOS homestay option is very popular among our students
looking for accommodation in Orange County. It gives students a first-hand
experience of American culture by participating in everyday host family life. As
well as being able to use practical English language skills they have learned in
school, it is expected that students will be able to participate in family
activities for a holistic view of life in Orange County. We have many
experienced and wonderful host families in the area that are ready and excited
to welcome our students into their homes and life’s. All of our families were
visited and interviewed by one of our staff members and live in safe
neighborhoods.
All families are located between 30 to 60 minutes away from
the school by bus. Host homes are also located near shopping centers, grocery
stores, and convenience stores. All homes have access to Internet and laundry
facilities.

Costa Mesa-Orange County is located about 45 minutes away from Los Angeles, Costa Mesa provides easy access to many of the major attractions, such as beaches, mountain areas and deserts, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Palm Spings and LA with its many sports arenas and major league teams. Orange County also known for its diverse art galleries and art-oriented events taking place in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, and Laguna Beach, the exclusive arts and crafts world live among the beach cities. When you combine climatic brilliance, continual activities, attractions and destinations; the definition is Orange County, California. The school is located next to a famous shopping center. Many popular retail stores, restaurants, clubs/discos, and bars are within walking distance. Newport Beach and Huntington Beach are only a short bus ride away. Many other popular attractions such as the OC Fair, concerts, and theme parks aren't far either. Some of the best nightlife in Orange County can be found on Main Street in Huntington Beach. Bars and clubs are open till early morning. There also many clubs, discos, and bars throughout Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. For students who simply want to sit back and relax, there's nothing better than sharing a bonfire with friends at Huntington Beach.
