There’s more to Dallas than meets the eye. Though that flashy skyline and cowboy reputation may be what initially draws you in, you can expect to find a city rich in the arts, fashion, culinary experiences and unique districts. After paying a visit to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, history buffs will want to stop by the African American Museum of Dallas, Pioneer Plaza and the George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. Meanwhile, culture hounds should make it a point to visit the Dallas Arts District, which is home to world-class museums like the Dallas Museum of Art, the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center, among other artsy attractions. Families can fill their days with visits to Klyde Warren Park, the Dallas World Aquarium, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science – all of which are accessible via the M-Line trolley. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is another family-friendly must-see that's popular for its one-of-a-kind seasonal displays. And when you tire of downtown Dallas, shop till you drop at Highland Park Village, hike or bike the trails at White Rock Lake, or simply explore hip neighborhoods like Deep Ellum, which was one of the city's first commercial districts and is now an epicenter of art, dining and live entertainment.
