Students who enter the Intensive English Program mid-semester enroll in the 8-week program. The program curriculum includes two courses levels: upper and lower.
Curriculum : In each level of the program, students take English language courses that focus on building students' skills and expanding their knowledge of U.S culture. Student practice reading, writing, listening and speaking in the morning. In the afternoon, students participate in classroom and on-campus experiential learning activities organized around a different theme each week. During the program, students will take
- 5 hours: reading and writing, focusing on high-interest topics
- 5 hours: speaking and listening, providing the skills to be successful in and out of the classroom.
- 10 hours: topics in American culture, focusing on themes such as movies, music, sports, and literature and involving events or visits to local culture or historical sites.
