Accreditation is the method by which the higher education community regulates itself. It provides for public confidence, institutional effectiveness, and the maintenance of standards. Every ten years, each SACSCOC-accredited institution undergoes an accreditation review process. Richard Bland College of William & Mary underwent its last review for reaffirmation of accreditation in 2019.
The Associate of Science Degree is designed primarily for those students who plan to complete their baccalaureate degrees in areas of education, business, health professions, social work, engineering, or one of the natural sciences. Depending upon the institution to which a student may transfer and the prospective major, the Associate of Arts Degree may be more appropriate. Students are urged to consult an academic advisor on this matter. There is no foreign language requirement to earn this degree.
Application Requirements for international students
For admission, you will need to submit the following items:
- Official secondary school transcript (must be translated and tabulated into English)
-Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 69 or higher and/or, IELTS 5.5 and/or, Duolingo English 95 or higher and/or, PEARSON Versant 50 or higher and/or, SAT Reading 22 or higher and /or Official SAT or ACT scores (SAT code: 5574, ACT code: 4346)
- International students must obtain an F-1 Visa at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in their country of origin.
- RBC does not currently offer CPT (Curricular Practical Training) or OPT (Optional Practical Training) for International students holding an FI Visa.
- If you are transferring in from another college, please submit the Dean Certification Form. We do not guarantee that credits from Colleges and Universities outside of the United States will transfer.
