Intensive English is a group course which is ideal for learning everyday English with an emphasis on fluent communication and practical language skills.

Intensive English includes two parts: 20 lessons of General English, which follows the same programme as our General English courses, and 10 further lessons of communication skills, which may be with different students
- The General English component includes everyday English reading, writing and listening with an emphasis on speaking and practical communication in common situations, such as travelling, shopping, and leisure time. Homestay :
- up to 60 mins from school
- Single or double rooms with shared bathrooms and half-board are available in our host homes. Staying with a host family is the best way to learn English in a short amount of time. You will live with an English-speaking family and share two meals per day, where you will talk with your host family and build a lasting friendship.
LAL Boston carefully selects and screens host families to ensure that you are placed in a pleasant and safe “home away from home”. Host families are located outside of the central area, within 60 minutes of the school.
Residence :
- 20 mins by train/30 mins on foot to the school
- International Guest House (IGH) is a great place for students looking to be in the Boston area. IGH is located in the historic Back Bayone of Boston’s most desirable and safest neighbourhoods! IGH was once a single-family mansion that hes been converted into student accommodation.
The guest house is home to about 100 international students at any one time. We offer rates with or without meals (daily breakfast and dinner) in the central dining room, a great chance for you to relax with your new international friends.
Single rooms with private bathrooms or shared rooms with shared bathrooms are available. Bed linen and towels are included. Airconditioning, a refrigerator and microwave are available in selected rooms. Wireless Internet access is available at no extra charge.

Double, twin or single rooms are available, and all options include a buffet breakfast.
