Students practice conversation and other speaking skills using practical, real-world English. Students learn to write with accuracy and effectiveness, develop strategic listening skills and improve your use of grammar.

• The full-service cafeteria at the University of St. Thomas will close after week one of Session 6, on May 24th.
• During the summer months, students may still purchase breakfast, lunch, and dinner at alternate locations on campus Monday - Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturdays.
Shared typical on campus dorm room. Shared hallway bathrooms. Rooms includebed, dresser, desk and refrigerator. Linens are also included. Self-service laundry machines are available in the same dormitory building for a small fee. Security: All buildings are secure. There is one resident assistant for each floor or wing (1 per approx. 40 students).

ELS/St. Paul is situated on the University of St. Thomas - Minnesota campus. It is in a residential area close to downtown St. Paul – Minneapolis. The two cities have a reputation for safety, cleanliness and low-cost living in a friendly Midwestern environment. The Mall of America retail complex is close by. Minnesota has 4 distinct seasons with hot summers (June, July and August) and cold winters (November through February). Students should bring appropriate clothing.
