Portland State UniversityAbout the
Portland State University is Oregon's largest and most diverse public university located in the heart of one of America’s most progressive cities. It offers more than 60 undergraduate and 40 graduate programs in fine and performing arts, liberal arts and sciences, business administration, education, urban and public affairs, social work, engineering and computer science. PSU offers more than 226 bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The 50-acre downtown campus—with the motto "Let Knowledge Serve the City"—places students in a vibrant center of culture, business and technology. This allows students to participate in internships and community-based projects in these fields as well as education, social services, and government. Portland State's award-winning University Studies curriculum provides small class sizes and peer mentoring for all first-year students and culminates in Senior Capstones, which take students out of the classroom and into the field, where they utilize their knowledge and skills to develop community projects. The University has taken aggressive steps to enhance the student experience and campus life, with new student housing and a comprehensive recreation complex and remodeled science and performing arts facilities. Portland State also has bolstered academic and career advising and orientation programs and created new programs to support students. Sustainability—initiatives that balance environmental, economic and social concerns—is incorporated throughout the curriculum and across the campus.

Questions
Dorm..,
By 이유진 [2015-05-15 13:05:10]
Q. I have several questions about your school below;
1. Dorm
(1) How many students in the dorm??
(2) Can the student cook??
2. Home Stay
Where & who the students usually arrange for their Home Stay family??
3. Do you offer any outdoor activities??
A.
Dorms
1) I do not know the exact number of students total living in our many on campus dorms. However, I can tell you that we have 11 buildings dedicated to student housing, and students have the option of living in either a single dorm by themselves, or in a shared dorm with up to 4 roommates. It depends on the students preference and availability at the time they apply.
You can find more information about our student housing here: PSU student housing
2) Most (if not all) of the dorms come equipped with a kitchen/kitchenette. However, all in coming freshmen students who opt to live in a dorm must sign up for the meal plan, regardless of if their dorm comes with a kitchen. You can find more information about the first year meal plan here: First Year Meal Plan
For homestays, PSU is partnered with 2 organizations: FOCUS and Andeo. Below you can find more information about the two organizations.
