IAEI – Intensive American English Institute was established in 1987 and is a leading private English as a Second Language (ESL) school in Austin, Texas. With several programs to choose from, IAEI can accommodate the needs and schedules of F-1 visa students and visitors alike. IAEI also offer classes year-round and have open enrollment so students can register at any time. IAEI offers an intensive 16-week semester of core English classes in the Fall and Spring and an intensive 13-week program in the Summer. In addition, the institution's highly-trained instructors help students build confidence for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). IAEI's various study programs are designed to meet students' personal needs and schedule. Whether it’s individualized independent study or one-on-one tutoring, student will be delighted with his progress and results. Tutoring and GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and SAT Test Preparation services are provided by House of Tutors Learning Centers. IAEI partners with colleges and universities across the United States, some of which will waive TOEFL requirements for students who complete our program, while others work closely with us to prepare students for their university.

Dormitories are mainly for students and have group activities, cafeterias and quiet study hours. Apartments give students more independence and responsibility. Homestays with American families are available on a limited basis. IAEI has many connections with Austin families who offer homestays to international students. Tour Austin Students in this class explore all that Austin has to offer while practicing their conversational English skills. Students attend weekly field trips to places of interest such as the Texas State Capitol, Harry Ransom Center, Blanton Museum of Art, Mount Bonnell, and Town Lake.
