Conditional Admission allows academically qualified students to be accepted to the university after they study at the American Language Program, Cal State Fullerton's Intensive English Program and meets the university's English language requirement (PBT 500, iBT 61, or 5.5 IELTS).

If you recently scored at least a TOEFL 61 (500pBT) or IELTS 5.5 or PTE 43 or other comparable result in a test of English, you may take up to 12 units* of undergraduate courses.
To take graduate courses (Master Level) you need to have a bachelor’s degree, currently attend a graduate program at your home university, and must obtain a minimum TOEFL of 80 (550pBT) or IELTS 6.5 or PTE 58.

Refund Policy
If a student withdraws before the the program start date, a full tuition refund less a $255 administrative fee will be issued.
If a student withdraws on the first day or within 25% of the program start date, 65% of the session tuition will be refunded.
If a student withdraws after 25% of the program has elapsed, no refund will be issued.
The following fees are non-refundable: Application fees, Health Center fee and the Non-Curricular fee.

On campus housing option: There are two types of housing options available for students who wish to live on campus:There is the traditional dormitory for first-time freshmen and the apartment-style dormitory for students who are 19-24 years old (degree students, exchange, semester abroad and language students).
Apartment Style Dormitory for International Students -Each apartment includes 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room area, and one or two bathrooms. Students can select a Private bedroom (total of 3 students in the apartment). Students can select a Shared bedroom (2 students in each bedroom, 6 students in the apartment). All rooms are furnished: bed, desk, chair, lamp, closet. All utilities and internet are included in rent. Four meal plan options available (see below). This is a great chance to meet other students, practice conversational English and learn about the American culture
Homestay The Cultural Homestay Program is organized and supervised by the International Student Services office. Living with a homestay family offers a great opportunity to practice conversational English and learn about the American culture. Homestay is open to Exchange students, Semester Abroad students and ALP students (levels 2-8). ALP students who are in level 1 must successfully finish level 1 before they are eligible to apply. Since Homestay placement is based on matching hosts and students personalities and lifestyles, therefore placements are not guaranteed. Homestay program offers four Meal Plans. Each bedroom includes: bed, desk, chair, lamp, closet. Utilities are included in rent (students can request internet service for $10 per month). Homestays are located 1.5-4.0 miles away from campus. Students can bike or take a bus to and from school (bus is free of charge with CSUF ID card)-Required contract: One semester-Move-in schedule: Students can move to their homestays a few days before semester begins-To apply, students must submit an application and application processing fee of $100

Activity
As a part of the American Language Program, students have the opportunity to learn American Culture through a variety of activities/. These include fun and relaxing outings such as a trip to a Southern California tourist attraction; parties to celebrate an American tradition or holiday; on-campus picnics; on-campus arts, music and theater events; movies; and sports events. Conversation partners, staff and faculty always attend the activities to give students an opportunity to practice their English outside of the classroom. Campus Activities and Events
Every semester the campus has many activities for students. The Associated Students Office is responsible for most of the campus activities – noontime concerts, international fairs, guest speakers, outdoor art fairs, evening movies, and many other events.

A: 캘리포니아 주립대학교, 풀러턴에 대해서 질문 주셨는데요.
학교를 짤막하게 소개하자면
2번째로 크며, 평균 10억 달러를 캘리포니아와 지방 경제를 위해 쓰고 있으며 9,000여개의 일자리를 제공하는
큰 규모의 대학교 입니다. 또한 엘에이와 매우 가까운 위치에 있기때문에 여행 하기도 매우 용이 합니다.

일단 다녀온 프로그램은 집중 영어 프로그램 (Intensive English Program (IEP)) 이었구요. 24주간 있었습니다.
가장 마음에 드는 부분은 저는 학교 수업이 커서 집중이 어려울까 하는 점이었는데요 제가 들었던 프로그램 학생수는 15명정도여서
토론 방식으로 수업을 진행했구요. 한국에서는 많이 하지 않는 방식이라서 처음에는 부끄러움이 있었지만 그 토론방식을 통해서 영어를 더 쓰게 되고
제 생각을 영어로 말 할 수 있는 그런 좋은 계기 였다 생각합니다. 제가 잘 따라 오지 못하면 친구들이랑 그리고 남아서 선생님께 여쭤도 보고 그랬는데 정말 다들 친절했어요.
숙박은 기숙사를 이용했어요. 홈스테이도 생각을 해 보았지만 일단은 학생들이랑 더 어울리고 좀더 재미있게 보내고 있다 오고 싶어서 선택했구요.
친구들을 많이 사귈 수 있는 기회였어요. 1인실이나 2인 실을 선택 할 수 있었는데 저는 2인실을 선택해서 저와 비슷한 또래의 여자 친구와 같이 묵었어요. 그리고 세탁기 실이 건물마다 있어서 같이 세탁기 돌리던 생각나네요. 주방시설도 잘 되어있고 전자렌지 냉장고 물론 잘 되어있어요. 가족들이랑 연락을 어떻게 해야하나 internet plan 을 사야하나 고민했는데 무료 인터넷이 있어서 어려움 없이 가족들과 대화를 할 수 있었습니다. 아무래도 공동 하우징 생활이다보니 자립심 같은 것을 더울 수 있고 한 계기 였던 것 같습니다. 그리고 버스 서비스가 좋아서 장보러 가거나 다운타운에 나가고 싶으면 버스를 통해서 이동했구요. 어려움 없이 움직 일 수 있었습니다. 기숙사가 키 카드로 입장이 가능해서 외부인이 못 들어온다는 그런 보안적인 좋은 점도 있었구요. 기숙사 비용을 처음에 결제 해서 나중에 월 임대료 같은거를 걱정 안해서 더 다행이라고 생각했어요. 나중에 다달이 월 임대료를 내면 왠지 걱정이었거든요. 저와 같은 룸메였던 친구랑 시간을 많이 보내다보니 우정도 더욱 더 쌓을 수있었구요 돌아온 지금도 같이 연락하고 주고 받고 있어요. 그 덕분에 언어실력도 많이 늘었고 같이 캠퍼스 활동도 권유해줘서 같이 들었어요.
테니스 강좌를 들었는데 재미있었어요 캘리포니아 날씨가 덥거나 습하지 않으니 밖에 활동을 하기에 참 좋거든요. 그래서 테니스나 수영 아니면 농구 등등 밖에서 하는 캠퍼스 활동들이 많아요 물론 안에서 하는 것도 많지만요. 저는 더운 날씨를 좋아해서 잘 즐겁게 지냈네요 ㅎㅎ
짤막하게 말하자면,
다녀온 소감은 정말 좋았어요.
더군다나 엘에이랑 너무 가까워서 여행도 하기 쉽고 치안도 좋았고 그리고 학교야 말로 수업을 정말 잘 가르쳐 주셨던거 같아요.
