Mentor Language Institute was founded in 2002 and is located in two popular areas: Westwood & Hollywood. We help students from all over the world improve their English. MLI offers ESL program (General English Program with 6 skill areas : Grammar/Writing, Reading/Vocabulary, and Listening/Speaking), TOEFL®, GRE®/GMAT®, IELTS™ (For students who want to prepare to go to college), TOEIC® and Business English. Many students have also gone on to study at universities or colleges in the U.S. like UCLA, USC and Santa Monica College."
Through ESL, Stundents will study English with people from other countries to learn grammar, writing, listening, and speaking. We will Learn how to use English in various situations and scenarios, and study to get more information in English. The instructors are made up of people who have a bachelor's degree in linguistics and even a PhD. I talk to my teachers every day, learn about different cultures, and go on field trips together.

Dormitory
We provide 40 rooms at our dormitories. There will be a lot of opportunities to communicate with other international students. We recommend you stay in a dormitory if you are on a budget.
Meal : No meals (a fully furnished kitchen is available)
Privacy : There is more privacy than homestay. There are some dormitory rules.
Commute : about 20 minutes by foot or bus.
Homestay
Students who choose to live with a homestay family are looking for a safe, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere in which they can practice their English skills. It's also an opportunity to learn about American customs, traditions, and family values.
Room : Private (Individual)
Meal : 2 meals a day (Breakfast and Dinner)
Privacy : There are some house rules depending on the host family.
Commute : 30- 45 minutes by bus

Hollywood is well-known as the heart of the entertainment industry. The Oscars Award Ceremony, as well as many movie premiers are hosted at the Dolby theater, just 2 minutes from our Hollywood campus. You’re likely to see a famous movie star in Hollywood as they exit their limousines outside the Dolby Theater! Our Hollywood students tend to be interested in aspects of the entertainment such as Dance, Music, Acting, Film, Yoga and so on. The well-known Musician’s Institute is directly across the street from our Hollywood campus. There are also many dance studios in the area such as:
