Living on campus
All our halls of residence are on campus, so you're never more than 10 minutes from our teaching, social, and sporting facilities. We have over 4,000 modern, comfortable and safe rooms with a range of accommodation options on campus.
You will have your own bedroom with free Wi-Fi, a shared communal kitchen, and laundry facilities. Nearly all of our campus rooms offer en suite facilities.
Our halls of residence have an electronic door entry system and CCTV, and for peace of mind, we have a 24-hour security team on-site too. The Student Living team can help international students find the most comfortable accommodation during their degrees and associated specialist courses such as the Pre-Sessional Course. There are three different kinds of rooms available:
En suite - students have private bath/shower room facilities
Standard - students share bath/shower room facilities
Studios/ Flats suitable for co-habiting couples - students have their own kitchen and shower room facilities
All of our rooms are self-catering.
Living off-campus
If you're looking for accommodation close to campus, Brunel Student Lettings can help you find a great place to live.
We advertise flats and houses within easy reach of the campus (Uxbridge, Cowley, Yiewsley, West Drayton and Hillingdon) to groups of between three and seven friends, all of whom must be students. To be eligible you need to be a full-time student (including students on placement).
The contract will usually be between 39 and 52 weeks, depending on the property and the start date. All contracts will normally start in June unless the property has come on the market a little later in the year. Rent is paid to the University in four installments, as you would if you were living in halls.
The size of the property and the amount of communal space varies from house to house. We request that all bedrooms contain a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and chair. Some landlords will also supply shelves or bookcases.
In communal areas, enough seating for the number of occupiers should be provided, and if space permits, there may be a dining table and chairs. All properties must have a fridge/freezer (or separate fridge and freezer), an oven and a hob.
