  • Britannia is an independent, English language school located in the heart of Manchester’s bustling city centre. We have been open since 2012, and since then we have been building a reputation based both on the quality of our lessons as well as the friendly and positive environment throughout the school. Our teaching staff are recruited based on their ability to foster positive, enjoyable and communicative learning environments as well as their high-level academic skills and teaching qualifications. Beyond the classroom, we offer a range of social activities both at the school and around the city. Welcome to Britannia English Academy Accredited by the BRITISH COUNCIL for the teaching of English in the UK We strongly encourage all our students to participate in these, so that they can make the most of studying and living in such an exciting, cosmopolitan city. Moreover, we understand that coming to live and learn in a new city can be an overwhelming experience, so we offer a highlypersonalised student support and welfare service to each of our students.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    In this course you will study Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening in addition to focusing on improving your practical usage and understanding of grammar and vocabulary.

    Curriculum :
    We recommend complete beginners to take one-to-one classes before joining the elementary group course. Students on level C1 may be recommended to attend a mix of General English and exam preparation classes. Level Beginner - Advanced (from A1 to C1) Length Each level = 12 weeks, continuous enrolment, minimum 1 week Time table
    Intensive courses: Monday to Friday
    Timetable depends on a level
    morning classes start at 8:30 or 10:30
    Afternoon classes start at 12:30 or 14:20
    Part time courses:
    Saturdays 9am to 1pm
    Maximum 30 lessons per week (Mon to Fri)
    Private Lessons; one to one/two/three

  • We run our Accommodation Department to the highest
    standard. We do not use external agencies for homestay, all
    families are verified directly by our school
    Homestay and Residential are available.
    1. Homestay: UK family or a single person, half board
    during weekdays and full board during weekends

    distance to the school

  • We are located in Manchester city centre, in a safe and vibrant
