  • Focus of Study :
    The English Language Centre’s Pre-sessional English Courses are designed for international students who wish to enter an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a British University. To help you decide the most appropriate course we have two Pre-sessional pathways: Management Studies Pre-sessional Pathway: for students intending to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the University of Liverpool Management School.  EAP Pre-sessional Pathway: for students intending to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in all schools other than the University of Liverpool Management School.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    *To help you fulfil the English Language conditions of entry to your academic programme.
    *To develop your English language skills.
    *To improve your academic skills, such as presenting and essay writing.
    *To help you understand UK academic culture.
    *To develop your independent study skills.
    *To introduce you to University systems, facilities and regulations.

    Curriculum :

    Successful completion of the course will allow progression to academic study at the University of Liverpool.  You will also receive an attendance certificate provided you have met the attendance requirements.
    You will have regular individual tutorials with your group tutor.
    You will be taught by our highly experienced and motivated teaching team. 

    Classroom Hour :
    In addition to 21 hours of classes per week, the text books and materials necessary for your course are included in the course fee.  The English Language Centre also has a very dynamic Resource Centre with plenty of material for improving your language.

    Most of the accommodation is in private single occupancy bedrooms with either single or double beds. Residences are on or close to our main campus and its many facilities, which include a large sports centre, restaurants and bars.

    University room rents cover your private study bedroom, utility bills, insurance for your belongings, broadband and use of communal areas.

  • Whilst studying at the ELC you will be based on the main University campus in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.Liverpool is a multicultural and student friendly city where you can enjoy a good standard of living at a lower cost.  You will also find it an extremely convenient base from which to explore the UK.

  • Your ELC course fees include the chance to take part in the ELC's excellentSocial Programme, which helps you to make friends and explore the UK.You will benefit from trips around the UK, regular Conversation Clubs andFilm Clubs as well as events throughout the year. The University boasts excellent facilities such as the of the Liverpool Guild of Students, who also provide trips, events, volunteering opportunitiesand much more and a Sports and Fitness Centre.  This means that you can continue your current hobbies whilst studying here as well as starting new ones. Student Welfare and Support is a priority for the ELC and for the University as a whole.  Studying at the ELC means that you benefit from daily drop in sessions with our Social and Welfare Officer, should you need information or advice.  The University also has an excellent range of support services for students, including, the International Support Team, Counselling Service, and Disability Support Team. (libraries, Sports Centre, University email account and WiFi access).

まず、オンラインテストを受け合格した人しか通えないのでみんな英語の実力もそこそこあり、熱意もありました。それが本当に良かった点だと思います。卒業後は大学進学を目指す方がほとんどです。教科書を使いマニュアル的な授業ではなく、映画、テレビ、音楽を使い親しみやすく英語学習をしてくれたので授業も楽しく望めました。イギリスの大学の雰囲気を味わえて環境も良かったように感じました。毎週水曜日には会話クラブがあって会話力アップに繋がりました。英語でいろんな話ができるようになる自分が嬉しかったです。アクティビティーも充実していて、みんなでビートルズ博物館を見学しに行ったのは素敵な思い出になりました。語学学校終了後、大学には進学せず帰国する私みたいな人もいるので、英語力を本気で高めたい人にはとてもおすすめです。
