Location

Accommodation

  • Live with a local family. Homestay includes all meals, Roomstay no food is provided. Homestay/Roomstay allows students to immerse themselves in Canadian culture and provides an excellent opportunity to practice and improve their English language skills. Host families also offer additional guidance and help as they settle into their new community. Great care is taken to match the student with a host family, and host families must provide police checks. To help ensure the student’s stay is as comfortable as possible, CultureWorks carefully selects a family that respects the student’s culture and religion.
One-bedroom apartments range from $650 to $800 per month, though apartments closer to the university may be more expensive because of location. A one-bedroom apartment in Canada will consist of a separate bedroom, kitchen and dining area, living area and a private bathroom. Other costs may include: telephone, television, internet, utilities (electricity and water) and groceries. Most apartments are unfurnished, so students will need to purchase all furniture and kitchens items.
