Edu-inter French School Québec About the

  • Open all year round, we offer different French programs for adults and teenagers from all over the world. Over 2000 students from 43 different countries benefit from our wide range of programs each year.

    Our French programs are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; consequently they coincide with programs offered by the Alliance Française and prepare students for examinations recognized around the world, such as the DELF, DALF, TEFaQ, TEF, BRIGHT and TCF.

    We offer 7 levels of French courses, from complete beginner to advanced, in reduced class settings with an average of 5 to 12 students (9 to 15 during the summer program) in order to facilitate personalized instruction.

Course Information

  • Focus of Study :
    The Core French program includes 15 hours of language classes per week, covering reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. The course is suitable for students of all levels and abilities. Afternoons are free for exploring the museums, restaurants, cafes, shops, galleries, and historical streets of Quebec City. Resources available on-site can help you plan your outings in and around Quebec City and arrange for you to enjoy some of the most popular excursions available.

  • Focus of Study :
    French Academic Year program offers a unique opportunity to learn French and discover French-Canadian culture by integrating into a secondary school program (grades 7 through 11), while living with a French-Canadian family and by participating in cultural activities and excursions.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :

    The Academic Year in French offers a complete immersion in French- Canadian culture and language as well as the opportunity to attain an advanced level of French. This program will also prepare the participant to function successfully in French language post-secondary academic institutions in Quebec.

    Participants are assigned to a local educational institution, and hosted by a local francophone family.

    • Students must be aged between 12 and 18 years during their program.
    • References from the current school are required.
    • Students must have successfully completed the academic program (grade) immediately preceding the grade applied to.

  • As for homesty option, it is available year-round. Students will be staying with French-speaking local families with the highest standards, allowing an authentic french immersion experience. 

    The student residence includes a library, common area, free Wi-Fi, Dining area, gymnasium, computer labs and  wheelchair accessible

  • Quebec City is a vibrant and historic destination known for its rich French-Canadian culture and stunning architecture. It is the capital of the province of Quebec and is famous for its well-preserved old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Being one of the oldest cities in North America, with roots dating back to 160,  The city's Old Town features cobblestone streets, charming boutiques, and historic landmarks, including the iconic Château Frontenac.

    The city boasts a rich cultural scene, with numerous festivals, art galleries, theaters, and museums. Events like the Winter Carnival and the Festival d'été de Québec highlight its lively cultural calendar.

    Nestled along the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City offers stunning views and access to outdoor activities. Nearby attractions include the Montmorency Falls and several parks that provide opportunities for hiking and nature walks.

    The city is also known for its unique gastronomy, combining French culinary techniques with local ingredients. Visitors can enjoy traditional dishes like poutine and tourtière in various restaurants and cafés throughout the city​

Getting to the school from the airport

  • Edu-inter French School offers an airport pickup service for students. The fee for the pickup is CAD $140 for arrival at the airport, which includes transportation from Jean Lesage International Airport to the school​
