    Hanson College, formerly Hanson International Academy, was established in April 2013 and offers exemplary service and education to international students wishing to study high-calibre, practical college programs in a metropolitan hub in Canada.In August 2015, Hanson College was designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of British Columbia.   • Focus of Study :
    In this course, an equal emphasis is placed on essential study skills and English language acquisition. The core-curriculum will focus on academic reading and writing, communication skills and strategies, comprehension and critical thinking and research skills, in accordance with first-year college standards

    Benefit, Goal of this course :
    Upon completion of this program, the successful student will have reliably demonstrated English proficiency abilities at CLB 6-7.

    In this program, students will be exposed to the areas of finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, human resources, accounting, personnel management, new business development, and organizational planning; which will ultimately prepare them for wide-ranging career paths in business administration.


    Graduates have the knowledge, practical skills, and proficiency to organize business assets and motivate employees toward greater productivity.

    British Columbia Secondary School Diploma where English is the primary language of instruction (80 credits) or equivalent including:

    - Grade 12 English
    - Grade 11 Mathematics
    - Recommended: computer competency in word processing, excel and web-browser software

    Proof of Language Proficiency

    All applicants from non-English-speaking countries must demonstrate adequate English language proficiency to be successful at the college level.  English language proficiency can be demonstrated through:

    - Obtaining a grade of 60% or higher on the Hanson English Placement Test; or
    - Submitting records showing that the student meets Hanson College’s Language Proficiency Alternatives.
    - successfully completing the Hanson EAP program with a minimum grade of 60%

    More options for showing English Language Proficiency criteria have been met include:

    - IELTS Overall 6 and no band less than 5.5 issued in the past 24 months
    - TOEFL (paper) score of 550
    - TOEFL (computer) score of 80
    - PTE score of 58
    - English 12/ENG4U score of C- or passing gradeIB English 12 score of C- or passing grade
    - One full post-secondary semester (Non-EAP program)- passing grades in all courses

  • Focus of Study :

    This comprehensive program offers you the opportunity to broaden your perspective on salient organization management responsibilities and skills.

    This program enables you to leverage your existing career and educational experiences to move into management positions. You will take a series of carefully selected business courses that will build and enhance your skills in critical areas of management such as finance, marketing, human resources, and leadership. These courses are designed to enhance your employability and career advancement.

    Admission Requirements

    To be considered, applicants require a 2-3 year post-secondary diploma or degree.

    Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must achieve the minimum requirements of an overall IELTS score of 6.5 and no band less than 6 issued in the past 24 months. Duolingo score of 120+.

    Exemptions may be granted to students who have completed at least 3 years of formal academic studies in which English was the medium of instruction. Students can also satisfy the English language proficiency requirement by successfully completing the EAP program offered by Hanson Language School. All applicants can be asked to obtain a minimum score on Hanson International Academy’s English Placement Test before final approval of their application and completion of their registration.

    The curriculum offers courses in world destinations, selling and customer service, transportation, communication, product knowledge, tour development and management, tourism law, business math, and event management. The students will learn to research, solve problems, be team players, exhibit professionalism and adapt to an ever-changing industry.

    You will get
    - world tourist destinations and their local laws and customs
    - basic reservation and booking procedures for airline, hotel, car, cruise, rail and bus 
    - both major airline reservation systems, APOLLO BY GEMINI (GALILEO) and SABRE.

    Students will have an opportunity to further develop practical skills and enrich their industry knowledge by participating in a seven-week-long field placement during their fourth and final semester. With the assistance of a devoted Field Placement Coordinator, students can complete placements in various industry areas to suit their interests.
