Course Information

  • FTI is a great place to study English in Australia. We have English courses for students of every level. Students learn to speak with fluency and accuracy developing the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

    The General English course focuses on communication activities in functional and situational contexts. The classes are theme-based providing relevant practice which can be applied outside the classroom.

    Small class sizes ensure that our friendly teachers (all of whom have native speaking proficiency in English) are able to attend to the needs of each individual student.

    Elementary
    Pre-Intermediate
    Intermediate
    Upper Intermediate
    Advanced

    It usually takes 10 weeks to cover one level of English. 

    Hours and Timetable: 

    20 hours in small class group running from Monday to Friday

    0830-1245 (Morning shift) and 

    0115 to 0530(Afternoon shift).

    In addition, we run free activities and outings most days after class in the afternoon and/or friday morning.

    The qualification is suitable for students who have completed SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and want to advance their knowledge and skills in hospitality operations. Students will learn to operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions.

    Benefit, Goal of this course :

    Students who complete SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (CRICOS Course Code: 103431J) with Federation Technology Institute will receive 21 unit credited towards the SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management (CRICOS Course Code: 103432H). After that they will be required to complete the 7 remaining unit of competencies to obtain the SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management (CRICOS Course Code: 103432H).

    Students who complete the SIT40516 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery with another register provider will receive unit credited towards the SIT50416 Diploma of Hospitality Management (CRICOS Course Code: 103432H). Each student will be reviewed and a individual plan will be offered to the student prior to the acceptable of the enrollment.
