  • For over 50 years, students have chosen ELS to achieve their English language goals. With 12 class levels, state-of-the-art language technology centers, multiple testing services and university admission assistance, ELS ensures success through our personalized approach and commitment to student achievement. ELS' rapidly globalizing world presents many challenges; however, those challenges bring with them many opportunities. Being able to communicate effectively in English can help students make the most of these opportunities and enable student to accomplish his dreams. ELS International Pathways provide one with a seamless journey to further education. Students can study English with ELS in 83 different locations in 11 countries. By completing the ELS English for Academic Purposes program, student satisfy the English requirement for more than 650 ELS partner universities worldwide. ELS University Admission Services will guide students from start to finish as he progress toward his chosen university. Students will make new friends from around the world and come to understand their cultures. This will ensure one a successful journey through a rapidly changing, globalizing world.

    Description:The Park Circle Apartments provides all the comforts of home and the convenience of a short walk to ELS/Silicon Valley, De Anza College, the Vallco Shopping Mall, many grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment such as a movie theater, bowling alley, and two nearby parks. It is also on several bus lines for easy access to the entire Silicon Valley.

進学コースについて
Q:アメリカの大学に進学したいのですが、条件付き入学はどういうものなのでしょうか?
 どれくらいの期間のコースでしょうか?

A:ELSのアカデミック・イヤー・コースを受講されて、ELSの英語レベルで112を超えて修了した学生は、
 大学進学するために必要な英語力が備わっているとみなされます。
 
 レベル112
 修了時の能力:
 英語を容易に話し、理解できる
 職業上および大学の授業で必要とされるリーディング力とライティング力を十分に備えている

 ELSの提携している大学への条件付き入学が認められます。
 また、コースの期間についてですが、1つのレベルを修了するのに4週間かかります。
 ELSではクラスのレベルを12段階に分けているので、入学時の英語レベルによって修了までの期間は異なります。

はい。
De Anza Collegeには約5つのバスが通っており、多くの学生はバス、自転車、または車を利用して通学しています。
住む方法はホームステイ、ルームシェア(ハウスシェア)、または一人暮らしと大きく分けて3つの方法がありますが、最近のBay Areaの家賃の高騰化により、多くの学生がホームステイ、ルームシェア(ハウスシェア)で暮らしています。
※現在、学校周辺ではワンルーム(Studio type)で一ヶ月あたり安くても約120000円〜となっています。

こちらの学校で一般英語プログラムを受講してきました。

1週間に30時間授業があるので、集中して英語の勉強が出来そうだな、と思ってこのコースにしました。
午前中は英語の基本的な文法、リーディング、ライティング、リスニング、スピーキングの授業をします。
カリキュラムがしっかりしていて、授業が分かり易かったのでよかったです。
発音やアクセントも丁寧に教えてくれて、現地でできたアメリカ人の友人に褒められるくらいになれました。
学校のある場所はシリコンバレーの郊外にあって、わりと静かで落ち着いた場所です。
シリコンバレーで働いている方々も多く住んでるみたいで、生活にはすごく便利な街でした。
お店やレストラン、クラブもあって、学校帰りに楽しく過ごせました。
自分はIT系を専攻していて、ITのメッカということでこの学校を選んだんですが、
世界に名だたるIT企業の本社があってちょっと感動しました。
住まいはホームステイを選択しました。
とても優しく温かい家庭で、よく面倒をみてくれて本当に感謝しています。
ドライブに連れて行ってくれたりして、自分の留学生活が楽しかったのもこの家族のおかげだと思います。
とても充実した留学生活でした!

亜樹

2年間コミュニティカレッジで勉強して、4年制大学へ編入する目的で目指してこの学校を選びました。


カリフォルニア大学への進学を目指していたので、カリフォルニア大学への進学率が高いここに決めました。
今はちょうど英語プログラムの過程が終わり、カレッジの授業が控えている状態ですが、

英語プログラムもELSが運営しているので、しっかりしたカリキュラムでちゃんと学ぶことが出来ました。
先生もみんな面白くて授業も楽しかったし、クラスの仲間にも恵まれました。

また、寮ではアメリカ人の友達も出来て、パーティをしたり、部屋で話したりしているうちに、
会話力も結構伸びたと思います。
ホームステイをしている友達もいましたが、友達をたくさん作りたいなら寮に入ることをお勧めします。

英語プログラムで学んだことを生かして、これからもがんばりたいと思います。
