With 12 class levels, state-of-the-art language technology centers, multiple testing services and university admission assistance, ELS ensures success through our personalized approach and commitment to student achievement. ELS' rapidly globalizing world presents many challenges; however, those challenges bring with them many opportunities. Being able to communicate effectively in English can help students make the most of these opportunities and enable student to accomplish his dreams. ELS International Pathways provide one with a seamless journey to further education. Students can study English with ELS in 83 different locations in 11 countries. By completing the ELS English for Academic Purposes program, student satisfy the English requirement for more than 650 ELS partner universities worldwide. ELS University Admission Services will guide students from start to finish as he progress toward his chosen university.   • Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) is located 85 kilometers north of San Francisco, in the heart of Northern California's beautiful Wine Country. Santa Rosa is a beautiful city of approximately 174,000 and provides a safe and welcoming environment.ELS/Santa Rosa is located in the heart of the beautiful and safe Santa Rosa Junior College campus. Safe and beautiful downtown Santa Rosa is within walking distance of the campus. With the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the east and several lakes and rivers nearby, sailing, hiking, water skiing, snowboarding, surfing, rafting, kayaking, camping, and cycling are all easily accessible. With approximately 300 sunny days a year, the possibilities for outdoor activities are endless! For day trips, San Francisco is easy to get to by public transportation. On the weekends, students can travel to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Monterey, and more. SRJC students have the highest University of California acceptance percentage of all large California Community colleges.

Conditional admission

  • With over level 112 in ELS, students can be accepted to Bachelor and Master's programs. Both Undergraduate and Graduate schools issue a CLA to students.

    Description:ELS/Santa Rosa offers caring and warm environments with homestay families near the center! Almost all homestay families are less than 35 minutes by public transportation, and in some cases they are within walking or bicycling range. The excellent and safe Santa Rosa bus system offers monthly unlimited passes for only $50. Home types vary, but in general, ELS host families live in safe and affluent neighborhoods near the Center. ELS students will be assigned single rooms, some with shared bathrooms. All homes have wireless internet. ELS students will have access to kitchen and laundry areas in the home.

    Description:The Elliott Apartments offer comfortable fully furnished double rooms directly across from Santa Rosa Junior College, and only one block from the campus library and sports stadium. The complex offers a pool, and laundry facility. Rooms are located within 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, and offer fully equipped kitchens and living/study areas.

Surrounding Area

  • Many great and not expensive eating places are across the street from the campus, and students can even walk into downtown Santa Rosa, where they can find many other restaurants, places to shop, and even places to hear live music. An excellent city public bus system offers monthly passes for only $50. Classrooms and administrative offices are located next to one another and all within walking distance of the campus library, sports stadium and cafeteria. 

    Outside of the ELS/Santa Rosa center, students will enjoy the truly beautiful campus of Santa Rosa Junior College. When the college is in session, the campus is very lively with more than 20,000 full and part time students, there are many opportunities for ELS students to meet and make American friends. Within a short walking distance on campus, students can study in the beautiful multi floor library, attend sports events at the sports stadium, eat in the comfortable cafeteria, or just sit and study under the beautiful trees.

A:ELSの英語コースは、全12段階にレベル分けされています。
 1つのセッションは4週間の構成となっています。
 したがって、生徒の入学時のレベルによって学習期間は異なります。
 平均で1~1年半として考えて頂ければと思います。
 また、終了時のレベルは、
 ・英語を容易に話し、理解できる
 ・職業上および大学の授業で必要とされるリーディング力とライティング力を十分に備えている
 として認められています。
 大学進学や、英語で業務が遂行可能なレベルとしています。

アメリカのカリフォルニア州の沿岸、サンタバーバラにあるELSに留学してきました。

サンタバーバラは海沿いの町で、温暖な気候と綺麗な町並みが有名です。
以前カリフォルニアに留学してた友達が、サンタバーバラがすごく良い街だといっていたので、留学する際あれこれ悩んだ末にこちらの学校に決めました。
行ってみて感じたのは、本当に街の雰囲気がのどかな感じで、環境がすごく良かったことです。
海辺の町独特の穏やかな雰囲気があって、でも必要なものは直ぐ手に入って便利だし、他の街にもいけるし、、等々良い所がたくさんあります。
学校の校舎も雰囲気のある綺麗な建物でした。
先生やスタッフの方はとても親切で、特にスタッフの方は気軽に話しかけてくれたり、どこのお店が美味しいとか、隠れた名所なんかも色々教えてくれました。
おかげさまでサンタバーバラについてはちょっと詳しくなりました。
授業は日常で良く使う言葉や、ニュースなど、アメリカで生活する上で必要な英語を教えてくれて、とても役立ちました。
日常のシーンの会話練習などはクラスメートと仲良くなれるきっかけにもなったので、楽しかったです。
宿泊はホームステイを利用しました。
学校にまではそれほど近いわけではなかったですが、優しいホストファミリーと一緒に生活できてとても楽しかったです。
何度でも行きたい、そんな大好きな街と人々に出会えた素晴らしい体験でした。
