  • Part of what makes the UW-Platteville experience so special is the city of Platteville itself. Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Southwest Wisconsin, Platteville is a safe and vibrant, growing community with much to offer. The largest community in Southwest Wisconsin, Platteville offers outstanding recreational opportunities, entertainment, and vibrant businesses.

Facilities

  • UW–Platteville's campus has no city streets that cut through campus. During the 1960s, all city streets and parking lots within the campus were replaced with wide sidewalks and manicured lawns. UW–Platteville has 13 residence halls. Southwest Hall opened in the fall of 2006. To accommodate a rapidly growing student body, Rountree Commons opened in August 2012 and Bridgeway Commons opened in August 2013. Ullsvik Hall, renovated and expanded between 2006 and 2008, houses administrative offices, academic facilities, visitor center, and other support departments. It also has banquet and catering facilities, including the Robert I. Velzy Commons, and the Nohr Art Gallery.

  • At the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, you'll get the total college experience in a safe, welcoming, and friendly environment. Cheer on the Pioneers at the 100 NCAA D-III home games we host on campus each year. Go hiking, biking, kayaking, or snowshoeing in Memorial Park, and meet up with friends at the David J. and Lou Ann Markee Pioneer Student Center. Attend a comedy show, concert, or theatrical performance at the Center for the Arts. It’s easy to get involved. With more than 180 student clubs and organizations, you’ll find a group that fits your interests. You can take up ballroom dancing or join our world-championship winning robotics team. Play on an intramural team or join a pick-up game in the Pioneer Activity Center. Join a professional association, student government, or a fraternity or sorority.
