  • The University of Hartford (UHart) is a private university in West Hartford, Connecticut. Its 350-acre (1.4 km2) main campus extends into neighboring Hartford and Bloomfield. The university is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. The University of Hartford was chartered through the joining of the Hartford Art School, Hillyer College, and The Hartt School in 1957. The University of Hartford has less than 6,000 full-time and part-time graduate and undergraduate students. The university offers 82 bachelor's degree programs, 10 associate degrees, 28 graduate degrees, and 7 certificates or diplomas. The student-faculty ratio is 9:1.The university's academics are organized into seven schools and colleges.

Getting to the school from the airport

  • Bradley International Airport
    Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Conn., is located 15 miles from campus. It is served by the following airlines: Air Canada, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, United, and U.S. Airways.

    CTtransit
    To campus from the airport: CTtransit offers its Bradley Airport Flyer semi-express bus service from the airport to downtown Hartford ($1.75 one-way fare), where you can transfer to local bus route 56 B, D, or F to campus. The trips operate approximately hourly between downtown Hartford, the Connecticut Convention Center, and all the terminals at the airport, seven days a week. Passengers are responsible for their own luggage— the buses do not have regular luggage compartments. The trip between Union Station and the airport takes about 30 minutes.

    Campus is a 25–30 minute cab ride from the airport to campus.

    Union Station in downtown Hartford is the area's transportation hub for train and interstate bus service. It is an 8–10 minute cab ride from the station to campus.
