Course Information

  • IELI's intensive English program offers five eight-week semesters on a yearly basis, offering 18 hours of classes per week, and students can participate in language labs and personal guidance.

The IELI program is divided into eight stages according to the difficulty of the class. The curriculum of this school is aimed at improving students' comprehensive language skills in the fields of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In addition, it focuses on listening to difficulties aimed at TOEFL, understanding American culture through the media such as grammar, American movies, etc., practice presentation, and correcting pronunciation.

In addition to improving students' language skills, we encourage students to participate in various cultural events provided by IELI to help them understand American culture and American history and adapt to American life more quickly. It also offers elective courses focusing on listening and speaking practice based on topics and themes related to IELI's academic, cultural or business establishment. Among the students who have successfully completed the program, conditional admission to CUNY University is not possible, but TOEFL exemption is available when applying for the undergraduate department of Hunter University.

IELI's intensive English program conducts a class assignment test at the beginning of the semester to assign the difficulty level suitable for the students' skills. The number of students per classroom is 12 to 22, and IELI is striving for a more ideal class formation.
