Founded in 1978, Brookhaven College (BHC) is a two-year community college that resides in the city of Branch, in the state of Texas. While BHC is an independent college, it belongs to the Dallas County Community Colelge District (DCCCD). Of the seven primary colleges in the DCCCD, Brookhaven is the youngest.

Brookhaven offers first and second year college courses for students seeking to a two-year associate degree; which may be applied toward a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university. BHC offers degrees and technical training programs designed to prepare students to enter workforce. It also offers degrees specifically designed as a stepping stone into a four-year university. Programs of study at BHC include automotive technology, nursing, child development, computer information systems, e-commerce, international business and trade, emergency medical services, accounting, geospatial technology, management, paramedicine, marketing, business administration, radiologic technology and visual communications, and office technology.

In addition to career training and academic degree programs, BHC offers continuing and adult education courses in various disciplines, including health, business, art, ESL, and music, among many others. As one of the premier higher education institutions in the region, BHC also provides corporate training to local businesses and organizations.
