CAMPUS General English courses are available to students at every level of English proficiency. Our classes cover all communication skills with an emphasis on grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary. The content is carefully tailored to suit individual learners' needs. Groups meet in small, comfortable classrooms and take part in engaging activities to build confidence and achieve communicative goals.

Curriculum :

The General English is offered year-round with sessions beginning every Monday with 18 hours per week.The program is the most comprehensive and popular course at school and enables each student’s all round skills to develop in the morning, with a particular focus on areas to improve and special interests in the afternoon. General English Course provides an all-around understanding of the language including grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening comprehension and conversation. Course contents are presented in a carefully sequenced syllabus through extended narratives, video sequences and dialogs, reinforced by a wide variety of engaging exercises that provide the intensive practice essential for mastery. The speech lessons, designed to improve oral fluency, also reinforce grammar and vocabulary, helping students to talk about their lives and the world around them with increasing confidence. Classes cover the skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading and also the crucial elements of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Various levels are offered from beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Students wishing to pursue their studies in the US who successfully completed our highest level of English can be granted a conditional TOEFL waiver with our partner universities and colleges. Classroom sizes range from 12 to 15 students per class and maximum 15 students. Every effort is made to keep classes at an ideal size for effective English language instruction.

CAMPUS TOEFL is the emerging leader in the newest and best techniques to prepare for the TOEFL iBT. Courses are designed and taught by the CAMPUS TOEFL Team, a group of experienced, dedicated instructors who work together to ensure students’ success. Our team raises scores by developing knowledge of the test, improving vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation skills, and providing extensive practice and feedback.

The TOEFL exam is a vital part of preparing to study at an English-speaking university or college and is also recognized by many international employers.

Homestays
Homestays provide the full cultural experience of living with the local population with carefully selected, warm and welcoming hosts. These homes are located in safe neighborhoods, near public transportation.
You will have a clean, private room in a home of a welcoming family or individual with whom you communicate with on a regular basis. Our hosts provide not just lodging; they understand the challenges of being far away from home.

Shared Apartments
Shared apartments, also referred to as Bed and Breakfast, House Shares, Apartment Shares or Flat Shares are for guests who value privacy and independence but welcome the presence of other people in the household. Shared apartments are available for short stays of a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 1 year. This type of accommodation is designed for mature students, interns and visitors who prefer a more independent environment. You will have a clean private bedroom in the apartment of a host and share only the kitchen and bathroom. In some cases, the host does not reside at the apartment but there are other guest(s) staying in additional bedrooms in the same apartment.

CAMPUS New York is conveniently located between 30th & 31st Streets, right across from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden in the heart of Manhattan. Prospective students can look forward to a diverse educational experience and enjoy all that New York has to offer. Student activities are important at CAMPUS. We don't say “Go out and speak English!” We take you! Every month CAMPUS offers a full calendar of events organized and led by our Activities Director, Mario Ducoudray. Our students enjoy making friends, seeing the sights, and practicing English outside the classroom.
